My grandsons love these! The boys are only 7 but love building things, so these were right up their alley! They had a ton of fun building these and they seem to be a great value for the price. The quality looks to be fairly high and they should get lots of use out of them, teaching them how to build more complicated items than just simple Lego structures.

This kit is a fun project and a nice intro to building with real tools. The instructions are clear and the parts feel sturdy. Kids can build different models, which adds replay value. Great hands-on activity that keeps them engaged.

The outside of the box is colorful and blazoned with examples of the different vehicles that you could build. It's listed as a level two difficulty and is recommended for 8 years and above. Level two difficulty is still in the novice range of skill, so any mechanically inclined, kid or person should have fun with this kit. Opening the reusable box, inside there are several bags with different pieces, some of them quite small. I would recommend [as I often do], using some old Tupperware pieces to keep everything sorted out. One bag has a lot of small nuts and bolts, that are all hex head drives, and there is a small hex head tea driver included. There is also a small wrench tool that is made of plastic and metal and has different size pieces and pry bars attached to it. The kit comes with real-looking rubber wheels and each of the bags is labeled as recyclable so you can recycle the packaging when you're through. At the bottom of the box there is a baggie with an instruction booklet, some stickers for the finished product, and an 800 number you can call should you run into trouble. Using IKEA-style instructions to assist you with assembly, the booklet is illustrated well. The printed portions of the instruction manual are printed in a bunch of different languages, so everyone seems to be included no matter what. Language is your primary means of communication. As far as assembling the different types of vehicles that you can build, there is a step-by-step illustration showing you how to position the different pieces and giving you the parts for each particular step. For example, for this one step I'm looking at, it shows that you'll need one screw, one bolt, and an angled piece of metal. They even give millimeter depths for the screws because some applications have longer screws than others. All in all, this seems to be a nice kit and reminds me much of an erector set I had as a young man. I'm sure that my grandkid is going to enjoy this and I am looking forward to assembling this with them.

Excellent product, well packaged, complete with instructions on how to assemble various vehicle models. Not quite as sturdy as the sets I recall I had over 80 years ago🤣 but more flexible, I purchased it for my young grandson and I will be looking for additional Meccan sets to gift him.

Gave this to my younger brother for his birthday and he loved it. He still takes it apart and puts it back together. I am glad he likes it.

They obviously market this as though it's metal, but it's mostly plastic pieces with a few metal connectors. This is a disappointment.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for grandson. Dad & grandson worked on it together. No tears, just smiles & a bit of learning to use the tools. Grandson loves to build things.
