Sturdy, stylish, and easy to install perfect upgrade for my Ram!
I installed the Tyger Auto 3.5” Rider Running Boards on my 2016 Ram 1500, and I’m seriously impressed. The build quality is excellent heavy-duty steel with a sleek black finish that looks great and feels solid underfoot. They add a rugged, low-profile look to the truck without being bulky. Installation was straightforward with the included hardware and clear instructions. No drilling required, and everything lined up perfectly. Took me about an hour with basic tools. The step surface is wide enough for secure footing, even in wet conditions, and they’ve made getting in and out of the truck much easier especially for my kids and older passengers. Overall, these running boards are a fantastic value. They’re durable, functional, and really elevate the look of the truck. Highly recommend for any Ram owner looking for a practical and stylish

Great looking running boards, seem well protected, and instalation was easy!
I installed them today, and the installation was fairly easy. The instructions give a nice layout on the front page that shows exactly how everything needs to be placed, and the brackets are labeled with letters to help work through the installation, though it is important to pay close attention to the orientation of the brackets. If you don't pay close enough attention, the holes in the running boards won't line up with the holes in the brackets. Nothing crazy to switch up if you do mess up, but to save time, pay attention to the orientation. Also, pay close attention to where you place the lock nuts vs regular nuts. The lock nuts will have a regular washer, while the regular nuts will have a lock washer. I recommend not tightening anything up until you check to make sure everything lines up, and it also helps because you may need to shift the brackets a bit to get everything lined up properly. Now to the quality of the brackets and running boards: I really like how they appear to be coated with a bed liner type of material. They definitely feel very durable to the touch and have the appearance of durability, but time will tell how well the coating will actually work to protect the metal underneath. I will update this review later if I notice issues. In regards to not having enough hardware as others have said. I was missing ONE of the larger washers, but it's possible that it fell out somewhere in the yard, though for me, a washer was very easy to come across in my garage. I have hundreds of them, though all I had were silver washers, so I had to throw a little black spray paint on it to help keep it from rusting and ensure it matched. This was not a big deal at all, whatsoever! Regarding the appearance: They look great! They are close enough to the bottom of the truck that they really blend in well, and don't protrude. I purchased the truck with a set of long and wide running boards, and they just didn't look good at all, in my oppinion. These give the truck a completely different look. I have an F250 with a set of aftermarket step sides that I installed (purchased from Amazon), with a step for each door, and they are okay, but don't look nearly as nice as these. I've got to say, these are my favorite running boards/nurf bars I have ever seen on my trucks. Overall, especially for the price, I think these are a great buy and would recommend them (for now), and in all reality, if I get 3 or 4 years out of them, I'll be happy. Think about all the money we waist on crap that we never use or throw away or donate to goodwill. People get upset that they got rust on their $180 running boards after 3 years, and I honestly think that is silly! I have seen people spend $35,000 on a truck that started to rust after 3 or 4 years! How much can you really expect for under $200!?!? I'd say, give them a go, and if you don't like them, send them back to Amazon, that's the phenominal aspect of Amazon. I posted some pictures, but it is dark outside, so hopefully you can see them well enough. If I have time I'll update the review with better daytime pics. Good luck!

Wife loves her princess steps.
My wife loves her new princess step! These running boards were really easy to install, they came with clear instructions that were easy to follow if you haven't installed running boards in the past. I would recommend taking your truck to get the underside washed first, I didn't and had to clean some dirt out of my way. I've had them on the truck for a year and there is no sign of flexing, or rust. Sign of the quality of the steps and the rust protection the coating provides.

Looks great, curious how sturdy they will be over time
I replaced another brand of these nerf bar style steps because they had gotten damaged in the 10 years I’ve had them (thanks to a short concrete bollard I couldn’t see at a gas station). The price was right and I like the textured powder coat look of these. Install was tedious, but still very easy. Took me a bit over a couple hours all together to remove my old ones and install these. Lots of folks mentioned how bad they thought the instructions were, but they made perfect sense to me. Just have to take your time and follow what you’re reading. These look great, and the steel brackets appear to be very sturdy. However, I am curious how sturdy they will remain over time. My last set had 3 bolts in EACH bracket that attached to the body that were at least 12-14mm bolts. These Tyger bars only have a single 8mm bolt attaching each bracket to the body. There are two smaller 6mm bolts also in each bracket, but they only go through the pinch weld of the truck’s undercarriage. That’s not a super sturdy attachment point, and those bolts seem to be more for stabilization than for weight bearing. They would get 5 stars from me if they had more beefy bolts holding them. Time will tell, but for the price these are just fine.

pinch weld is at the bottom of where the door meets the frame, not where part A bolts to part F
While this thing is very sturdy, it is pretty much useless with the instructions it came with. I just finished putting on the running boards with these bad instructions due to lack of detail. I was ready to throw this thing out in the street. Is it asking to much to give an actual picture on where the bolts are located on the truck? Please do not bother with customer service, as you will likely get a customer service rep who is following the check list she has been told to follow, and has not ever changed the oil. A simple photo of the location would have saved a lot of cussing. I feel bad for those reps, they are trying to make a living and Tyger is setting them up to fail. She kept telling me it would not fit because I said it was not a Ram classic. I was wrong, it is a classic. If she would have been told to ask if the fuel cover port was round or oval, I could have said it is round. That indicates it is a 3500 classic. I did not know that, so she just kept telling me the running boards would not fit my truck. It did. I am so tired of the current level of knowledge in customer service. So for those who do not work in the auto industry, a pinch weld is at the bottom where the inside and outside meet. Parts A and F do not attach together, part F will bolt to the truck.

Great Upgrade
I recently installed these running boards on my 2025 RAM 3500, and I’m really happy with the experience. The installation process was straightforward and took about an hour. The results are great — the boards are sturdy and look fantastic. They also make getting in and out of my truck much easier. Overall, I highly recommend these if you're looking for a reliable, easy-to-install upgrade. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived two days earlier than expected!
