Baitaihem 858D AC 110V Hot Air Solder Blower SMD Rework Station Welding Heat Gun Soldering Iron - desertcart.com Review: Five Stars - Used for salvaging parts off of PCB's, works as expected! Review: Chinese-made Garbage - Garbage. When I first got it, I plugged it in, something inside it arced- and sent sparks across my counter and it tripped the breaker. Figuring something may have shifted in transit, I reset my breaker and gave it another try. This time it turned on a then started warming up...and kept getting hotter and hotter. It got to about 300C, then arced again internally- and tripped the breaker. Reset the breaker again- and the thing displays an error code that, when referencing the user manual, says that the temperature controller is defective and needs "replace". There is a holographic sticker to the left of the LED screen that reads "Genuine, Q.C. Passed". I have some serious doubts that any QC was preformed to this device. Furthermore, in my search for a low-cost hot air tool I have found that there is 1 Chinese manufacturer that has their product re-branded about 8 different ways. They are all garbage (Baitaihem, Keedox, WEP, Tenma, DBPOWER, etc.) BUYER BEWARE. You are getting what you pay for!!!

Great for beginners or for those on a budget
So far so good! Used it for a couple jobs and the unit works flawlessly. Cannot ask for more! Its definitely cheap quality - but for the price - it will do plenty!

This has to be absolutely one of the worst hot air rework units I have ever come across
I have several different quality workstations here at the shop. I needed a low cost unit for training a few techs. This has to be absolutely one of the worst hot air rework units I have ever come across. Quality issues, stability issues including calibration problems and ultimately a complete failure. A waste of $60.00.
