They came charged but of course not fully. Because it comes as set of 2 I haven't had to time this but I used one after 4 hours and it seemed to have a full charge.

Before storing batteries do they need to be charged fully.

We have an older RC car that does not get much usage, and the original battery was dead, and the charger was nowhere to be found. These batteries both work well and with two chargers we will probably not lose them both. The batteries give about 30-40 minutes of run time, and by then my granddaughter has probably lost interest in the car and is off to something else. If you are looking for replacements, this is a good choice.
