I know honey doesn't spoil but maybe the bee pollen in this does? Because this smelled spoiled when I opened it, anyone else experience that?

That is how raw honey smells...it has a very strong aroma and can smell a little off if you are not used to how it is supposed to smell...hope this helps!!

What do you do with the top part of the capping??

I would never throw it away. I take small portions of it and chew it when I am having a sugar attack. Or add a bit of it along with a spoonful of the honey and add it to hot tea.

True honey does not expire, so the date on the jar probably lets you know the age of the honey. Beware that the larger 2 lb. size of Really Raw Honey is NOT true honey - it separates!
