Juwel Aquarium Feeder, 2.0

I swapped the rotor for the supplied (white) granular one. Have added a mix of granular feed like BugBites and granular bottom feeder plus some very small feed for the Nano top feeders I have ( Rasboras) Tested the feed quantities and found option 2 (fed twice a day (there is an option for 3 times) to be best for my 260 ltr community tank. (I can increase as they all grow.) The instructions are not completely intuitive but some experimentation and pressing of buttons and I soon fathomed it out. I have inserted rechargeable AA's and giving it a good test to see how long they last. Also an option to run off a USB cable.

A good idea shame about its minuses. As my tank is only a Juwel 70 litre the smallest delivery setting seems to big, also clogs up when using flakes due to condensation. Seems ok on granules but because of its tendency to over feed found that after a four day holiday that there was a black patch over the gravel where the granules had dissolved. Now have doubts about leaving it running while away for longer.

Seemed like a solution to feeding the fish when we go away on breaks. It was straightforward to set up once you decipher the minimalist instructions and it works okay. Found it was using up AA batteries fast and worried it may run down whilst away so utilised a spare 5volt plug in mains adapter to run it. Changed the internal feed screw for the smaller (white) version and set to twice a day feed. It needs to be checked and cleaned occasionally otherwise the flakes tend to build up and reduce the delivery quantity, but other than that it turns out to be worth the price.

We bought this for holiday but liked it so much we use it all the time now!Love how you can have a USB cable to back up when the batteries are low, the portion control is good and the set up was easily enough tooWe still give our fishes regular treats but this has stopped us from over feeding our fish tooHighly recommended

Set up two weeks ago and works perfectly. Brought as I no longer have a neighbour to feed fish when away. Have tried cheaper models but did not have much success so took the plunge price wise and happy with 5be reliability an£quality of build. Like the fact that connecting a USB cable will provide power should the batteries run out.Only criticism is the lowest feed is too much if you have a small tank, I have a 125 with 30 fish. Was feeding twice a day but now cut down to once.

Read the reviews as I always do when purchasing on Amazon - 1 thing that is very consistent is that the food quantity deliveries are on the large side -so beware and set it low and build up.Not used it over pro - longed period of time yet so will see if it clogs in time.Worthy of note is that the supplied hood adaptor /feeding portal is a good addition - however all jewel hoof flaps are not compatible and you will need to cut the aperture to fit.However once this was overcome I will feel comfortable using this based on past reviews knowing my fish will be fed ok.The settings are easy to follow on the timer itself.I may set it when I’m home to monitor how much food it is dispensing at a time.

Product is brilliant, but only if used for a big feed. Lowest setting delivers approx 10x the amount I manually put in. Currently have 6 guppies.

Such an improvement over Juwels original auto feeder - which I owned. Issue there was it would attract and retain moisture from the track and your food would clog them mould. Needing a lot of maintenance and not allowing you to use it as anything other than temporary. This version resolves all that and is much better designed. Highly recommended. It’s worth the extra money.

One of the few that use an auger. So seems to be more consistent with the amount of food dispensed vs the one that rotate a canister around.Easy to program and works well with the flake and pellet mixture I feed.Would get 5 stars if it came with something to attach it to the rim of an aquarium. I adapted mine to work with an Eheim feeding station and the cup that sits in the water on that station with the stand and this feeder makes it one of the best feeding systems out there. When I get around to it I'll look into directly tying it into my apex controller, that way I'll be able to control it from there and also not use batteries but will obviously void the warranty. ;)

Gute Qualität und Verarbeitung, lässt sich leicht bedienen und Programieren. Batteriebetrieb ist praktikabel da mein keine weitere Kabel rumliegen hat. Trockenfutter darf nicht zu Groß sein, einziger Nachteil ist durch die Feuchtigkeit aus dem Aquarium kann es zu leichten Verklebungen kommen. Ansonsten arbeitet es zuverlässig und die Fische werde mit Nahrung versorgt. Klare Kaufempfehlung
