Very good overall so car Pros - does stick on well - quite easy to use - nice screen size Cons - do sometimes need to tap a few times - i believe you need to connect to the internet to keep up to date but not a major con really it's great for elderly people who don't always have the latest phones etc

have bought my 3rd GPS for my car, after all I need one to find the toilet in my 1 bedroom bungalow. I had a TOM TOM for 20 + years and it finally gave up the ghost, it was an expensive buy but so worth it. My 2nd foray into GPS land was a Garmin, it lasted 4 months. I have been ill and didn't need to have another for myself until now.....I bought TOM TOM and just know I won't regret it. Great made, quality item, easy to use, clear screen....large screen, not a lot of faffing about to upgrade, always found Tom Tom easy to utilise. I paid £119.00 for this new one, no sale, still think it's worth it. The new GPS stays quieter on the road, makes you know the left its telling you about is the next....no confusion. Very accurate, great speed watching gives you a nudge when your foot is heavy. So many improvements, so solid a system, shows quality lasts and is sometimes worth paying that little extra for, not that i think the price is steep. Lightweight plastic type composition is a helluva difference from my old one. I loves me my Tom Tom and won't change to a cheaper version, best GPS on the road and easy to store your places you go, loads of functions. GREAT piece of kit

Mainly bought this TomTom sat nav because of live traffic which I didn't have before, but good to find that it also updates itself via wi-fi and has a 6 inch screen. It's good, I'm fairly happy with it and I like it's navigational way of working. I can create routes on our larger pc screen and send to sat-nav that way, which is good. My only criticisms would be that I find it difficult to clip on and off the screen mount, especially if it is mounted low down on the windscreen, also the size of it can be rather obtrusive, but can work around that I guess. I was not able to get live traffic whilst connecting to phone using bluetooth, so am having to create a wi-fi/hotspot on the phone and connect that way. As usual these days absolutely no instructions or guidance whatsoever included in the box re. how to actually use it, but much the same as any other sat nav, although a first time user might struggle.

Many years ago I had a small Tom Tom and it never let me down. Then cars had integrated Sat Navs, but they were never as reliable as a Tom Tom and hard to update. My latest car does not have sat nav but wants me to link my iPhone and use a navigation app. No thanks! I have gone back to the TomTom and now set out confident, as I usually drive on my own, that I can get to my destination without fuss. This version has a big, clear screen and using the mounting pads I bought separately, does not slide off the dash. Best navigation product on the market and I got it for a reduced price too! Bonus, I can share it with my daughter whose Volkswagen Beetle is also without built in Sat Nav. Colour me happy.

I bought this to save me the effort of moving a satnav from one car to another. Lazy! I now have 3 Tomtom sat navs. The small ones are ideal for classic cars because the windscreens are tiny to start with, by the time you have the wipers, wiper motor, and rear view mirror there's not much screen left to look through. I was looking forward to all three synchronising, yes they all log on to the Tomtom account and the Tomtom account says they are there but "we are having trouble connecting to TomTom services try again later" is all I get and yes they're all on the same WiFi router. In fact they're all sitting on my kitchen table ignoring each other. So that's the one star penalty dealt with. In use they're hard to fault I use TomTom in eastern Europe and the roads are upto date. The next day they were all synchomised. Star reinstated. New roads are there on every update. Apart from that routes are accurate and the navigation is easy to follow.

I don't have a great car and my phones basic so this sat navs great . Easy to use and set up, does exactly what I wanted.

Very good sat nav works well

For many years I have happily used a carminat Tomtom built in to my Renault Clio. When this failed I naturally chose a Tomtom again expecting the same lovely clear maps and ease of use. Sadly what I got did not look like an improvement in any shape or form. Instructions were a 1, 2, 3 page showing how to plug in the cable. The real instructions were to be found on line in a 148 page pdf file. The first problem was placing the device as the sucker only adhered to glass, not on my dashboard at all. I started following the instructions but when it came to updating this was really slow and in no time at all it drained my car battery. I obviously had to disconnect at this stage and got warnings about losing maps etc. I took the device inside and tried to connect to my Mac. I have a very new Mac which doesn't use the older USB connection that Tomtom uses. Fortunately my old Mac still works and I was able to complete the upload which took ages. After charging the car battery I then attached the device once more ready to test. The map stayed stuck on my home address throughout my test drive. Once there I asked it to drive me home. The map changed and it showed my journey with no instructions. The map was nothing like as nice as the old one. The next day I tried once more. This time it seemed to be working correctly both for following the route and then following instructions so I am now hoping things will go better. I found it awkward to set up and not at all intuitive like the old one was. Entering addresses was fiddly and I often hit the wrong key despite having small hands. I really expected an improvement on a good product after 10 years but feel Tomtom have taken a big step backwards for some reason.

Dislikes: I disliked the overseas source which I was not expecting and it took longer to arrive as a result. Also I had trouble loading up the Australian map until it occurred to me to do the multiple updates. Likes: The TomTom is easy to use, easy to see and gives directions very quickly and efficiently.

Da mein altes TomTom Navi nicht mehr startete, habe ich mir als Ersatz dieses günstige Navi als Ersatz gekauft. Als dieses Navi eingetroffen ist, funktionierte mein altes wieder ohne Probleme. Ich habe natürlich das neue ausprobiert und es funktioniert genauso wie das alte, Obwohl es über 100 Euro billiger war. Was mir an TomTom nicht gefällt ist der Kundendienst. Über die Seite von TomTom nur Schrott antworten und wenn man über Umwege jemand erreicht, geht man nicht auf das Problem ein sondern es kommt nur allgemeine Antworten, die darauf hinlaufen, das Gerät zur Reparatur einzusenden. Vielleicht hilft es ja bei Bedienungsfehler. Aber echte Fehler. Keine Chance. Ich denke auch, das die Reparatur nach Garantie ende sich nicht mehr rechnet. Negativ: Komplizierte Anbindung an das Smartphone Das erste Update, trotz schneller Verbindung fast 3 Stunden. Straßenupdates zum Beispiel Geschwindigkeitsbeschränkungen dauern Monate. Ich fahre z.B. über eine Straße bei der bei der Aufnahme eine Baustelle war mit 10 km Beschränkung. Nach 3 Monaten weißt mich das Navi immer noch auf die 10 km hin obwohl ich 50 fahren darf. Wenn man genaue Straßenmitteilungen bekommen will muss unbedingt das Handy richtig verbunden sein. Positiv: Staumeldungen und Störungen des Verkehrs werden sehr schnell in die Planung einbezogen und eventuell gute Umleitungen eingebaut. Die Geschwindigkeitswarnung wenn man z.B. im Orte über 50 fährt. Die ersten 5 km nur optische Warnung über 5 km auch akustische Warnung. Schnelle Eingabe der Zieladresse. Und schnelle Routenplanung. Alternativ Routen Berechnung. Abbiegehinweise sehr deutlich. Und im Gegensatz zu Navis von anderen Anbietern. Wenn ich aus welchen Gründen auch immer von der geplanten Route abweiche, dann kommt schnell die Einstellung über die geänderte Route und nicht wie bei meinen vorherigen Navis von anderen Herstellern, die Meldung bitte wenden Sie.

Como siempre perfecta navegacion y ahora permite actualización wifi (Igual que en todos los modelos un poco lentas) Le adapté el soporte del parabrisas que ya tenía del anterior y perfecto. Si quieres conducir si perderte, es una muy buena opción, ni maps ni nada, hace años que los utilizo y es fantástico. La única pega es de la web, a la hora de intentar ponerte en contacto con TomTom.
