Good brief history
This is a good overview of the history of the " five civilized tribes." Because it is meant to be read in about an hour, it isn't a deep history or analysis of the history. I recommend this book as an overview and hope it will encourage readers to read and learn more about this topic. It is a story that every American should know.

Good choice of which myths or stories to tell
This was a short but interesting book containing a brief overview of what are called the Five Civilized Tribes histories, mythologies and stories. It is a fast read but made me want to find out more. Overall I would recommend this book. My only criticism is that the book would have benefited from some more final proofreading.

Not bad, but far from comprehensive
Not bad, but far from comprehensive. I was disappointed but also minimally informed. Maybe this should be an introductory to the subject.

Made me want to know more about the topic
I enjoyed and appreciated reading the book; however, it made me want to know more. At times I felt it was like a rough draft and I could expect to see more in the final copy. For example, I wanted to know more about the author's background and sources for the statements made. Also, I would be interested in reading more about other tribes.

The title is VERY MISLEADING!
Most of the book is devoted to history of certain native American peoples and their mistreatment by Europeans. There's very little about the actual belief systems/mythologies. Very disappointing.

Easy read
Picture doesn’t look the same as one shown, but it is an easy read and discusses the five civilized tribes. Haven’t completed the entire book, but I am enjoying the read so far.
