Works well for backing up 😃
I have the stock OEM backup camera but also need a camera as I have a trailer that I tow often to go to the dump and haul other items. The installation I would say is easy if you've dealt with car electronics and as long as you know how the DC voltage works, it should be able to splice into the power which will require a little bit of knowledge. Since every car is going to be different, I can't give any suggestions but there should be online tutorials on how to tap into the vehicles power everywhere. With that said, it has really nice bright lights as well as guided lines and helps tremendously when it comes to backing up and be able to see a lot closer than my OEM camera!

Great back up camera for older vehicles
I bought it to install into my 2008 Ford Explorer. It works so well and get the job done! What a great safety feature so you can see what’s behind you as you back up. It even has the lines to guide you just like on the newer cars. Thanks!

Not completely wireless
This may be called 'wireless' because the monitor and camera aren't actually connected. However this is not completely wireless. The monitor needs a power source so you will need to plug it in to a cigarette lighter plug. Some new cars do not have the old style cigarette lighter plug outlet, so be aware of this if you are purchasing. The camera will need to be wired in to the vehicle's reverse lights. This activates the back up camera. So while this is a great camera/backup combo, do not purchase this unless you have the ability to also hardwire the camera to your vehicle or know someone who can do this for you. I gave this only a 4-star rating because I think the wireless part can be misleading and it is important to be fully informed.

The signal could stand to be stronger, but its ok
I installed this on an older pickup truck, and it was a breeze to install. I had tapped onto the reverse signal wire from the trailer hitch wiring harness for power, which was very close to the installation point. That made the installation very simple, as I didn't need to fool around with the reverse lights. The monitor is self explanatory and plugs into the 12V port. You can flip the image 180 degrees to get the image upright, depending on how you've installed the camera. The signal is a bit hit or miss on a full size pickup with a 6 foot bed. My installation was above the license plate, and the image is quite choppy while in motion. Since I really only need this when I'm slowly backing in, this is not a huge problem. It certainly beats running a wire from inside the vehicle at the monitor all the way out to the license plate area. If I were reversing quickly, I expect I'd miss lots of frames and risk colliding with something if I was only relying solely on the monitor. Because of the size of the camera and monitor, I'm good with it overall. At this price point, there is a lot of value here. I recommend it, especially on a shorter vehicle. It is easy to operate and simple to install. The 4.3" screen is not large, so just note that we are talking about 4.3" diagonal just like TVs are sized. Most cell phones are larger than that, so don't expect I giant image. But the image is clear at 1080p and night vision works as intended.I give it 4 stars. I'd give it 5, but the antenna can't easily be repositioned for better signal. it is attached to the power cable and runs parallel wherever you route it. I'd like a more stable wireless signal and a more adjustable antenna position before I could give it 5 stars. I think it is great for most people's needs. Many newer vehicles have a reverse camera already installed, so this is mainly for those who don't. With around $100 price tag, you are getting a good value here if you are one of those who doesn't have one in their vehicle. I recommend it, despite the signal shortcomings for those with full sized pickups and 6ft+ truck beds. Do your research, as some of these reverse cameras are quite large. This one is not an eye sore and works well enough for basic needs.
