I ordered the waterproof covers for my couch and recliner because I have a cat then every once in a while will decide to pee on my couch or recliner so I bought those to cover them to save me from the job of having to flush out all that pee and then wait for days for them to dry. The night I covered the recliner my cat Peed in it and it soaked through into my recliner. Not very waterproof !! I was very unhappy!!

I was familiar with this brand because my son and daughter-in-law have a couch cover like this and it’s very thick and durable. The labels inside the cover to tell you where the back is, where the arms are, where the front is, are very obvious and helpful. It took some tugging and pulling but I was able to get the van by myself. The number one first thing that is very important, make sure you pull the elastic straps through the back of your chair and hook them before you do anything. Now about hooking those straps.. I can hear my father and brothers whispering in my ear to NOT put those elastic bands on any of the hardware because it could eventually loosen or break the hardware. It looks a little weird but I hooked them to the feet of the chair. I’m not gonna lie, the first couple times I went to lift the leg rest, it was very hard and I thought it might not come up at all. But after taking it up and down several times I guess the chair rearranged itself and the material stretched because now it goes up easily. I also tested how good the waterproofing was because I read comments that people were complaining it didn’t work. You can see the small spot on the foot rest where I put water on it and it did not leak through. Initially when I first put it on the hole for the handle looks like it was stretched and not lined up. I really feared it was going to eventually rip. After taking the foot rest up and down, the hole finally lined up. Before complaining or throwing in the towel and returning this, you really need to give it a day or two. All the material will go where it supposed to go. The places that look tight will loosen up and not be so “tense”. My fear about buying any cover was that it would constantly come off. But this one does not do that.

I want to say first and foremost that the delivery driver thoughtfully took the time and Care to hide the box in the bushes by my front door and sent a picture of it to me. I didn't recognize where it was and didn't see it when I went out to look for it and assumed that the driver left it in someone else's yard which had happened the week before with another Amazon order, so I gave a thumbs down on the how did we do in the app. Then my wife found it right by our front door behind a bush, and I felt bad. So the main thing I need to say is that the delivery was great!After that the installation went smoothly and we are really happy with the seat covers themselves. We ordered two sets, so we can swap them out when one set is in the laundry. The color was as pictured, and the covers are comfortable and convenient. The pocket is particularly nice. We will probably get a few more in different colors for the holidays.

I’ve learned my lesson when buying this kind of cover. It has a great benefit of covering furniture to keep all debris out of it. It’s great for making furniture last. But it’s not waterproof. I would suggest getting another cover to put on top of this one or look for a different brand.I bought this then also bought the quilt style waterproof cover -which is legit waterproof. To go on top and it’s worked wonders on our new furniture.

It was easy to install, fits nicely on my LazyBoy recliner. It stays in place.
