Moog 2-Tier Rack Kit for Mother-32 DFAM

If you own more than one of the Moog semi modular synths (Mother 32, DFAM, Subharmonicon), this stand is an absolute must. It allows for easier patching between synths since the patch bay are situated directly on top of one another.The signature “synth tower” look makes it an excellent centerpiece to your audio production setup. Since the Moog sound studio is no longer in production, it is becoming more and more difficult to find these 2+ tier racks. This stand works perfectly and fits right in with the Moog aesthetic.Happy patching!

Expensive I guess but it’s a rack and it racks with the best of em. Nice rack. Phrasing.

Great rack. While the price for what it is may be a little high, the build quality is excellent. I didn’t have the missing parts issues other reviewers unfortunately ran into.

Took forever to get here. Showed up packed in a random box and missing hardware. Now I have to wait another 6-12 days for the replacement.

Works great. Assembles easily with just a Phillips head screwdriver. Feels solid and does the job of aligning the Moog semi modular synth’s patch bays vertically so you have less of a jumble and mess of patch cords in the way of tweaking the knobs and throwing switches..

DFAM + Mother + Subharmonicon would be cool, if you're lucky enough to have attended Moogfest this year! :-) But 3 tier Mother rack is amazing, giving you 3 VCOs, 3 LFOs, 3 VCAs, 3 VCFs, 3 sequencers, and on and on. Enjoy!

I got this rack to house my 2 Moog 32's and a DFAM, but then waited to set it up as the Subharmonicon was announced the very same day I received my hardware synths. So I bought the Subharmonicon several weeks later (initially sold out), and then used this rack to house all 3 units (Moog 32, DFAM, and Subharmonicon)Unfortunately, the holes for the crossbar at the bottom did not line up with the screws, no matter how loose I made the side panel screws and allowing some laxity to try to line them up.I finally took the side panels off entirely, and tried to line up the crossbar holes with the side panel holes to put the included screws through, and it was clear that they would not line up no matter what, they were off by at least several millimeters.I basically screwed the screws into the metal, making little divets in the side panels, so that it would at least hold. This maneuver ended up bending the side panels inward a little. Will have to see if it holds up long term like that....TBH, I didn't want to have the hassle of boxing this back up and going through the process of replacing it. Otherwise, no parts were missing. I agree that it is overpriced for what you get, but it's a nice organizer if you have 2 or 3 of the Moog instruments.

It's a nice idea. Fitting to the sides of the Moog synths i have works well, so they stand ok.The cross bar holes do not line up, no way to attach this. I'll have to re drill the wholes for the cross bar.for a couple of pieces of stamped metal it sure costs a a lot. For 80.00 you'd think they could get it right.

Yes it's just a couple pieces of metal, but unlike the allegations in some reviews it included all the hardware needed for assembly, and it works really well

Ich habe diese Seitenteile nicht für meine Moter32 gekauft, sondern für drei Neutron-Synthesizer mit etwas weniger tiefer Rack-Wanne. Man kann sie genauso gut einschrauben, wenn man nur die zwei oberen Schrauben benutzt. Hinten mußte wegen der größeren Breite von 80TE ein Vierkant-Holzstab gebastelt werden, da die Schiene für die Breite einer Mother32 ist. Dann steht es aber fast unmerklich modifiziert und sehr stabil auf dem Tisch. Die Anordnung der Rackwannen finde ich sehr gut, man kann so von sitzen bis Stehen sehr gut arbeiten.
