Works well for what I'm using it for. Using it to record my fretting hand while playing guitar

My grandson wanted this for his birthday. I know it will be very useful for him. He is teaching himself to play the guitar.

A bit difficult to get correct and good angles. But works as advertised.

Misleading picture and poor quality
The picture shows the phone holder distanced from the ball join to allow the phone to rotate fairly freely, but it sits much closer on the actual product. This makes it nearly impossible to position correctly with a larger phone like the iPhone 16 Max.The clamp is also very stiff and will most likely cause damage to any painted headstock and even indent some wood.The piece that holds the phone also feels very cheap and flimsy, making it easy to drop my phone.

Grip is too hard
I gave this 2 stars because you can't open it without using 2 hands. It's heavy made of metal too heavy for my guitar. The grip was so tight I had to use a piece of cloth to keep from scruffing the surface of my guitar. Would I buy it again? Probably not
