Based on Deborah Donnelly's novel "Veiled Threats," Carnegie Kincaid is a wedding planner and a perfectionist in both work and romance. When a murder occurs and a bride (Chelan Simmons) is kidnapped surrounding the wedding of a prominent family embroiled in a high profile fraud scandal, Carnegie becomes a suspect. She is questioned by police and pursued by shady news reporter Aaron Gold (Andrew W. Walker). To make matters more terrifying, Carnegie is pretty certain whoever is responsible for the crime is out to get rid of her. As she struggles to clear her name, Carnegie is hounded by a hard-boiled detective and wooed by a handsome lawyer. With her life exploding into a whirlwind mix of danger, mystery, and romance, Carnegie begins to realize that love does not always arrive in a pretty package and that the perfect "Prince Charming" she's been waiting for may not have her best interests in mind.

what not to do if you suspect a murder
While I won't say this is a total waste, it is totally illogical. She is the worst hero/heroine I've ever seen in a mystery. Everything would have been solved days earlier and lives would have been saved if she had told the police what she knew and given them the evidence she collected. "I have to have proof" - no you don't. that's not how it works - "they think i'm interfering" - because you literally are.tho she probably wouldn't have gotten the guy, which is a point in the guys favor.and of course since it's a hallmark movie, it's formulaic. I usually like to read books movies are based on..but not so much for this one

Lacking in common sense.
Normally I don't write a review until I've watched the whole thing and I'm barely 6.5 minutes into it. This might end up being a great movie worthy of 4 stars but imo it won't ever be 5 star worthy because of one scene that happens within the first 6.5 minutes. When she catches someone dressed all in black tampering with a vehicle near the gas tank and they run away as soon as she calls out, how did she not think of that as suspicious and call the police? If a person weren't doing something wrong they wouldn't run away. This part just really bugged me because it shows the wedding planner is either a bit stupid or just doesn't care, which I doubt is the case, so why would the writers do that? I'm going to finish watching the movie and hope there's a good explanation.Nvm. I tried to continue watching it but after another 15 minutes I had to stop. First of all, a wedding planner can't be responsible for what a person drinks at a wedding so the "cop" sounded stupid when he said she was a person of interest because she ordered the alcohol for the wedding. Normally I only rate movies if they are 4 or 5 star worthy and I have good things to say about them. This is the first negative review I've ever done but this movie just lacked common sense.

Fun mystery
This mystery was clean and fun. Of course you figure out early on who is going to fall in love, but there are enough complications in the plot to keep you guessing how long it will take for that to happen. In the meantime, you can stay occupied with wondering if the wedding will ever happen and which characters are good and which are evil, and who the murderer is. No, it's not Mary Higgins Clark. It's Hallmark, and it's fun.

Good for Mindless entertainment
Typical Hallmark movie that is predictable and cute. If your looking for clean and slightly entertaining, but corny movie this one fits the bill. Acting is mostly okay and story line is okay. Since I knew what I was getting into by watching a Hallmark movie I give it 4 stars.

Good Movie!
As an Andrew Walker fan, I have almost all his movies. I just love this guy! This movie did not disappoint. It is a little different from his other movies, which was a nice surprise. Andrew can play any part well. Happy I bought this DVD.

There are better Hallmark movies
With a Hallmark movie, you always hope for that magical motherlode of appealing characters, plausible chemistry, and an entertaining storyline. This movie unfortunately squanders the first two on such a looney plot I couldn't finish watching it.

would watch it again...
I admit to a guilty pleasure ~ I watch made-for-TV movies, especially rom-coms and mysteries...and I enjoy them (for the most part)....This one was pretty good, as most go and I would watch it again.A different twist on the usual ~ entertaining in a light way, not too heavy as mysteries go....recommended. ;)

A Hodunit For All Ages
Great family style show. There is mystery, humor, suspense, action and rated for family to see from the very young to the old.

... can't say that Erica Durance is one of my favorite actresses but this kind of film suits her
I can't say that Erica Durance is one of my favorite actresses but this kind of film suits her. Here she plays a wedding planner who gets involved in an apparently accidental death, decides to investigate and like all well meaning amateurs (which I suppose makes these kind of movies watchable) ends up trusting the wrong person and almost getting herself bumped off. The reason for four stars is that the film is released in wide-screen version which makes the cast all look over-weight. After switching to 4 : 3 ratio on my T V they looked more normal. Apart from that it's quite an enjoyable movie.

Enjoyed the movie
Great cast. A few twists and turns to keep you engaged as long as you are not trying to be over analytical about the script. Some of the circumstances do not seems feasible but I did want to watch a lighthearted movie so what better way to do it than with a Hallmark movie!
