RadioShack RF Interference Filter 1500025 by RadioShack

The item was received quickly and in perfect condition. It works.. or it doesn't, there's really no way to test it (that I know of). I hooked it up to an Atari 2600 and Sega Gensis (the only devices I have with RF and the reason why I bought this); I see no difference in A/V quality so I can't say for sure if it is worth it. I got one following other vintage gamer advice. In any case, these consoles will not produce quality A/V on modern TVs. I guess I should be thankful I can still use them with a 1080p TV.So get it if you think it will help; it doesn't seem to help me but there you have it.

Got the old Atari 2600 out for my grown kids to use when they visited at Christmas and it was fun, but the screen quality on the Sony 42" flat screen TV was not very good. Found this and a RF TV adapter found elsewhere here on Amazon, and what a difference. Was able to eliminate the old A-B Analog switch. Display looks like it should. Ready for the next family get together for a rematch.

Just recently used this with another product (Atari 2600 RF TV Coaxial F Plug Female Adapter) to hook up my old Atari to a new flatscreen television. I must say... it works wonders! I had so much fun playing the original Donkey Kong. Definitely worth it for anyone that needs to hook up an Atari!

Took a star off for the price at 9.99, but the item does work very well and I can no longer find this part at any of the still open Radio Shack stores in my area. Using the RCA to coax converter I did see some red static interference scroll across the screen when I was testing an Atari 2600 so I installed this and it disappeared. Much cleaner signal now.

Acts like more of a 10 db pad than an actual TVI filter. With the filter connected suddenly several channels were intermittently pixellated, indicating a significant signal loss, likely 10 db or greater. Does nothing for the interference.

I am not sure how much interface it blocks, the screen still has a little interface leftover but it's minimal and when you are playing you don't notice the interface at all. I am able to now play old consoles like Atari and Nintendo using this device.

Did nothing to solve my problem. Have to leave TV unplugged to prevent it from turning on. May not be the filter's problem but nonetheless it didn't work as expected.

Cleared up my signal from my Intellivision and Atari. Shipping cost is ridiculous though.

Did not block fluorescent light interference at all.

Way over priced for what it does - I wouldn't buy another one for other TVs.
