Robert K. KrickStonewall Jackson at Cedar Mountain

The Cedar Mountain Bible
Bob Krick is an excellent writer. He has a bias as an unabashed fan of Stonewall Jackson and the Southern Cause, so the reader should be aware that the book has a definite 'Southern perspective'. None-the-less, this is a great book with many interesting stories about the common soldier as well as the revered Stonewall. Krick is a renowned historian and is an excellent speaker of multiple CW topics. His book is thoroughly researched (as are all of his writing endeavors). Well worth the price and don't be afraid to take the book along with you to the battlefield. The only drawback to the book (and many CW books) is the lack of enough maps. However, maps can be accessed through the Civil War Trust and other CW sites that would help with understanding the battle. (PS - the Cedar Mountain is in very pristine condition and much is being done to encourage interpretation - well worth the trip if one is near Culpeper, VA.)

Stackpole's ”From Cedar mountain to Antietum" を、読んでから、拡大鏡を使いながら、The Second Bull Run の前哨戦を、学びましょう。 To be continued.
