Food Grade Silicone Cup Lids, IPHOX Creative Diamond Mug Cover [Set of 6] Anti-dust, Airtight Seal, Silicone Drink Cup Lids, Hot Cup Lids (Diamond)

I bought these because they are slightly larger than the ones I bought awhile back from a different vendor. I really liked these silicone lids since they are really convenient to use, somewhat easy to clean, and relatively difficult to break (won't shatter if dropped etc).I don't really care about the colours though they are nice; however, I'm really not a big fan of the acrylic diamond knob because it can contain BPA (even though it may not touch the drink but still). I would love see the certificate validating the claim of 'FDA approved' and documentation that specifies the type of acrylic used in order to set my mind at ease.All the lids are bent downward towards the circular protrusion (shown in some pictures). I'm not sure if this is by design or manufacturing flaws. In either case, the lids seemed to work fine.In terms of its ability to keep the drink hot/cold, I'd say it has MINIMAL effects on the temperature because I really couldn't see any differences but more importantly heat radiated outward (or vice versa) via the cup itself more so than the lids because the cup has a larger total surface area, amongst many other factors.As far as the airtight seal goes, well, that's tough one but it appeared to me that it did have 'airtight' effects (as seen in the video and the last picture); however, this doesn't mean you can swing it around or shake it violently as if it's a bottle cap for your cup. Just use common sense I'd say. Nevertheless, it provided ENOUGH seal for my purpose.The lids are 11.1cm in diameter and the little 'hole' securing the diamond knob is 6.5mm (for those who consider DIYs). Overall, I think these are well made; at least they didn't have any readily visible defects.Last but not least, generally I'm rather concerned about any unsubstantiated SAFEY CLAIMS related to food/drink consumption because most negative effects (if any) usually take months or years (if not longer) to develop and by that time, it'd be too late. If these are in fact certified 'Food Grade Silicone', then they are of great value and I do enjoy using them.*** It's much appreciated if you found the review helpful, please click on the Helpful button below ***

Easy to use

I have to drink lots of water every day so I often have a large cup of something that I'm working on. One day I saw my cat drinking out of my cup and I wondered how often this had happened previously. Yuck. I ordered these cup lids, hoping they'd be large enough. They fit perfectly even over a McDonald's large soda cup. The top can suction down lightly, and there a small tab for getting the lid off very easily. They seem to be of a nice quality silicone and the gems on the top fit into a nicely sized opening for them so that they are secure. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I love these mug covers! We tend to have a problem with house and fruit flies in the summer. Flies always sin for the rim of the glass I'm drinking from, and fruit flies love to commit suicide in my drinks. We've tried covering glasses with napkins and such, but those always blow off with a breeze. These lids cover every size glass I've used, and the suction holds them on really well.

I got these because my cat likes to drink out of any glass that I sit down. I would have been satisfied if the lid just covered the glass, but if pressed down the lid forms a tight suction bond and won't let any liquid out. 10 out of 5 stars..
