My husband loves it! Says it’s the best shaver he’s had yet, and loves the hair catcher element. Great!

The hair collector is below average, my previous Philips model was excellent at retaining hair the new one doesn't fit snuggly and hair flies around when in use. Also the charging is via C cable which means the purchase of a low output transformer plug or plug it into a computer. If not electronically minded who advises on what to use as the trimmer requires 5v -1amp.

Bought this to replace an old Philips. Hair catcher is a simple yet really useful feature, it isn't perfect but speeds up cleanup. Glad it now shares the same charger as my other electric razers.

I was a little dubious, I don't like being clean shaven and using a new trimmer is a little daunting. But, it is absolutely great. The length adjustment works really well, it cuts very evenly and doesn't leave any rogue long hairs. Wet and dry shave and also can rinse under the tap to clean easily. Great ergonomic design which fits in the hand very well. Very easy to use and very sturdy. If you want an inexpensive clipper which works very well, this is the one.

What have you done Philips this thing is a disaster. I've been using Philips beard trimmers for 20 years. Big fan. My last 5000 series (BT5502/13) is nearly 5 years old. I only need a new one because the battery is dying. I look after these things. I can't believe how bad this thing is. First time I used it I just didn't understand. It wasn't cutting the hair it was chewing it. You can tell this in multiple ways- including the sound, it's not cutting clean at all. I had to go back over the same area so many times my skin was red and it still hadn't cut properly. Doesn't move around the jaw bone well at all. By the time I was exhausted with how rubbish this thing is, I realised I was only half done and it'd taken me 3 times as long as the whole thing with my old razor. Nearly gave up. I put it to one side in disbelief. When I'd finished it'd still done a rubbish job. Left it for a few days. Just tried again and it's really that bad. Same thing happened all over again. The new guard/hair catcher overcomplicates the thing. Previously I would clean the blade halfway through shaving to make sure the action wasn't full of hair. With this one I have to remove extra pieces in the right order just to get to the razor. Then put them back in the correct reverse order. Does the hair catcher save mess? No. Just as much work overall to clean up, but actually shaving took 6x the time. At one point I took the guard off thinking maybe that was the problem. This is actually worse- the guard is actually designed into the form/function so take it off and it's worse. Even the power button is on the wrong side. What a complete disaster. Genuinely find it hard to believe they put this on the market and people like it. Maybe I got a broken one, but, that might be it. I might have to find another brand.

I bought this to replace my old Philips bear trimmer, which has decided to give up the ghost. I am stilly getting used to it, despite the controls being generally the same. It no longer comes with a plug on the charging cable, which now has a USB for attaching to your own plug, assuming you have one. There is a hair catcher on the trimmer, but I don't really see that it gives me much. However, it does the job as well as my previous on and comes with an additional smaller head for more precise trimming.

Good at trimming but design of plastic guards to lengthen the cut is poor and one has already broken. OEM replacements only available from Philips direct and not cheap so scored it low. It is relatively light and at first did the job well but unable to use to full extent now.

Il est très difficile de trouver un rasoir avec système d'aspiration qui propose plusieurs hauteurs de sabots pour la barbe. Celuici est super: léger, efficace et avec plusieurs accessoires très fonctionnels. Top !!

The function for collecting hair is really nice! Wishing it was USB-C though.. overall great trimmer.

Hallo zusammen, lange hat das alte Modell Series 5000(5200/15) funktioniert, aber wie so vieles in Leben ist es nicht für die Ewigkeit gemacht worden. Ich hatte nun verschiedene Modelle in der Hand und für mich war dieses Modell das beste. Es liegt nun noch besser in der Hand als der Vorgänger und ist leiser. Zusätzlich ist anzumerken, dass es Wasserdicht ist und die Reinigung erleichtert. Andere Modelle als Vergleich waren von Phillips Bodygroom 9000 Serie, 5500 Serie und Braun 7 BT. Grundsätzlich waren alle super, aber für mich war die Ausstattung des Bodygroom 9000 zuviel und ist sicherlich für andere die richtige Wahl. Gegen den 5500 habe ich mich entschieden, weil dieser eine bessere Haptik hat und der Barteinfänger den Unterschied für mich machten. Braun ist ebenfalls super, aber Haptik und die Art der Rasur sind für meine Bedürfnisse nicht entsprechend geeignet. Zu meine Art der Rasur. - Hals superkurz 0,4 mm - Bartbereich 1,5 mm - Konturen mot ein Nassrasierer Zum Modell in kurz die Pros und Cons: Pros - Ergebnis der Rasur top - Konturen Kassen sich ebenfalls gut ziehen - Barteinfänger top, wenn man den nicht unter der Dusche nicht nutzt - Haptik top(Kann individuell sein^^) - Lautstärke leiser als bei den Vorgängern - Ladezeit super flott!!! Cons - keine (persönlich^^) Ich hoffe ich konnte euch damit weiterhelfen und viel Erfolg bei der Suche nach dem richtigen Rasierer.
