Classic style
I've been a veterinary nurse for over fifteen years, and I've used a lot of stethoscopes. From the cheap disposables to the high-end cardiology models, I've tried them all. And honestly? My Sprague Rappaport stethoscope is still my workhorse. It's just consistently reliable. The acoustic quality is excellent. I can clearly hear heart and lung sounds, even subtle murmurs or adventitious noises. That's crucial for accurate assessments, and this stethoscope delivers. It's sensitive enough to pick up the quietest sounds, which gives me confidence in my clinical judgment. Beyond the sound, the Sprague Rappaport is just practical. It's durable – mine has taken a beating over the years and still performs like new. The tubing is sturdy and hasn't cracked or become brittle, which is a common problem with other stethoscopes I've used. The eartips are comfortable, even during long shifts, and they create a good seal to minimize ambient noise. Plus, the interchangeable chestpiece is a great feature, allowing me to easily switch between adult, pediatric, and even neonatal auscultation. Some people might be drawn to the fancier, more expensive stethoscopes, and that's fine. But for me, the Sprague Rappaport offers the perfect balance of performance, durability, and affordability. It's a solid, dependable tool that I rely on every single day. If you're looking for a high-quality stethoscope that won't break the bank, I highly recommend the Sprague Rappaport. It's a classic for a reason.

Great for the price.
This stethoscope delivers surprisingly good acoustic clarity for its price point. I’ve used it in clinical settings and found it reliable for basic assessments—heartbeats, breath sounds, and general auscultation come through clearly. The dual-head Sprague Rappaport design adds versatility, and the included accessories are a nice bonus. The tubing feels sturdy, and the 30" length is comfortable to work with. Ear tips are soft and seal well, though they may need occasional adjustment for a perfect fit. My only minor gripe is that it’s not quite as refined or sensitive as higher-end models, especially in noisy environments—but for the cost, that’s understandable. Overall, a dependable tool for nurses, doctors, EMTs, or students. Great value, just not quite premium-tier. Would definitely recommend as a backup or starter scope.

Better than the expensive stuff
Better than Littman, in my opinion. Loud and clear every time. “Ole reliable”, I’ve named mine.

don’t like hurt my ears
I just did not like it. It hurts ears too much. Maybe I’m a sissy or something, but I’ve bought them before in the same thing not the same brand but it hurt my ears so I don’t even use them. They hurt so much.

Well made Stethoscope
This is quality for the price. It came with with extra parts that wear out over time and all the components are heavy duty.
