"It's cute"
Literally everyone who sees this cat on my desk says "it's cute!"It's a great product, but there are two main issues I have with it (though not dealbreakers by any means for me).1) The USB charging port is on the bottom. If you don't design yourself a mount/base or something, forget about using it while charging unless you're sitting it at the edge of the desk.2) It attracts SO MUCH DOG HAIR. Fortunately my dogs' hair is white, so it blends in. "One more weird thing is the way the color cycles. The good thing about this one is the colors cycle gradually; I've seen other models where the colors flash to different colors immediately, which isn't as aesthetically pleasing as this one... however, "no light on" is literally part of the cycle. Why?! Why aren't you just looping all the colors? Why would you include "off" being part of the color cycling? Either way, I think we all buy this cat for the soft white mode anyway ;_;

Short battery life
I have the charge this every day or else it doesn’t hold a charge overnight. My daughter is obsessed with it though. She wants it to be pink so I turn it on, wait for it to cycle through to pink and then tap it against the table it’s on one time to get it to stay on pink. It took me a week to figure out this method because tapping it with your hand does not work well. It is cute and my sister bought a slightly bigger but otherwise identical one from Hallmark for $25 and we returned it since this one was less than half that price.

Perfect for toddlers' diaper routine
My grandson is 14 months old and started trying to stand and twist during diaper changes. It is like dealing with a sea bass. We tried stuffed animals, mobiles, books. He barely stops the squirming. A friend told me about this light. It is a very gentle glow and responds well to the thwapping to change colors. If he drops it, it can't break or hurt him. It is very soft and huggable. He likes to squeeze and hit it but hasn't figured out yet why the colors change. He lays still for the diaper, now. He is starting to understand directions and colors so I think this could eventually be an educational toy

It's okay for the price
I purchased this for my cat loving 3 year old as a little night light. The first few days were great and she loved it! However, over time the charge would only hold for a few hours and now she's completely attached to it and I have to remember to throw it on the charger every morning so that she can use it at night. When we first received it, it had a really funky chemical smell to it but after washing the body (not the battery part) in dawn soap and letting it air dry...it finally went away.

Stopped working after 2 months
We bought this for our toddler's room (she's 21 months). The selling point was that it could be cordless and also a functional reading light for bedtime. Of course she loved it and it worked well for about 1.5 months before the light for some reason became so dim that it couldn't be used for story time (we read with the normal white light, no colors). No matter how long we charged the light for, the light remained dim and after about two weeks of that, the light died altogether. Although it was turned on and off a lot (the toddler liked tapping the light), I expected it to last longer than two months. We are buying a different lamp and hoping for something that works!
