Do ask if this pot will work with induction stove? The pot is pure copper and as far as i know none of copper pan/dishes work with induction stove. Check a user manual of your induction stove and see what they say about "copper".

I believe this is actually 95/4.5/.5- tin/antimony/ silver. So there is no lead in this.

Lastly, if the pot were empty and heated: it could potentially loosen or detach parts of the tin. Of course it may be a defective product.
