Works but ill fitting
Update: I'm about a week shy of 2 months usage and I now have to charge my phone at least twice a day running down to yellow each time. I'm so disappointed. It was such a relief to not worry about charging throughout the day. For this to work less than 2 months isn't acceptable. 2 stars down.First review: Doesn't quite fit my Samsung s4, but does work. It made horrible noises clamping it on to my phone which was scary, but didn't see any damage. The back of the phone case has an outer section that pops off. It will only clamp down completely at the top and bottom and partly down one side. No battery swelling here, my battery fits perfectly still in my original case and doesn't look swollen at all so mine just wasn't made to fit an s4 properly. The case and back cover stay on in this partially clamped way. I'm using it over an original battery that kept turning my phone off randomly. With heavy usage online most of the day, I still don't have to charge which I never had with the original battery that came in the brand new phone. Only had it a few weeks, but will update if anything changes. I'm not on a 5 foot leash with the charger all day anymore. At the $10 pricepoint the defects aren't that bad when desperate for a fix to the phone, but it really should fit as advertised and I would be more upset if I had paid more.

Good battery life, but turns your phone into a bar of soap!
This is a pretty good extended battery. I have the Anker ultra-thick one, so this one is welcome in both reduced thickness and heft. It's basically a new back cover for the phone, with room for what is essentially a second battery that piggy-backs on the first one. So you fit your Samsung battery into the back of the Lenmar one, put the battery in the phone Lenmar-first, and the Samsung's NFC transmitter will be facing outwards. Cover it with the case back and you're good to go.However, I will let you know that this is a very slippery plastic with almost no traction. A little bit of "finger oil" and you have a bar of soap (not) in your hands. I've dropped the phone many times with this case on (it basically comes apart and can be snapped together) and it provides essentially no protection.Yes, it will make the phone last more than a day. I love that. But I don't like a slippery phone either, and one that both doesn't do much to protect the phone while making it EASIER to drop isn't for me. I've gone back to the original Samsung battery and just swap it out with a fresh one during the day, or plunk it into the Anker "brick" extended battery if I need to have a 48 hour battery on board.

Poor Design, Poor Execution
What a disappointment! This case looks amazing from the photos, but leaves a lot to be desired when held in hand.First is the exterior of the case. It's the smoothest plastic I've every touched. That means it's difficult to hold and can slip out of your hands very easily. The curved body doesn't help either. The bumper surrounding the side of the phone is cheap and flimsy. The power button is hinged on one side of the bumper and looks as if it would not survive more than a few weeks of use. Most alarmingly, the battery life of the extended LENMAR battery was worse than that of my standard battery. LENMAR gives you a standard battery (2600mAh) with a piggyback adapter that lets you slide your existing battery in for pairing. In theory, it works. 2x 2600 mAh batteries = 5400 mAh. In practice, it doesn't.I highly recommend staying away from this case. I hope the manufacturer tries again with the S5 and upcoming S6.

A must for road warriors!
Just to start, I think extended battery life is a necessity on several phones, including the S4. I can't count the amount of times I've been out late, and my phone runs out of juice before I can coordinate something or get directions somewhere (or call a cab!). This case has taken the stress out of situations like... "If I hop on Facebook, will I have enough battery to use GPS to get back to my car later?" I've had this case for about a month and love it. I definitely prefer batter extension over battery recharge cases. The case is not too thick and has a simple, elegant look that has gotten several compliments. With light use, I've gone over 48 hours without touching a charger. The only complaint I have is that the access port for the charger is just a tad too small and some micro-USB cords with thicker heads are a bit of a squeeze. Other than that, great case and deserves five stars

The best 30 dollars I've spent in a long time
This is oddly enough the first review I write on Amazon - I've been so satisfied with this product that I felt compelled to tell everyone about it.In short, this battery case nearly doubled the battery life of my GS4 and made it look even better. The battery case was easy to set up and I like very much that it integrates with your phone as a parallel battery rather than connecting to your phone via the mini usb port like the other batteries. In terms of battery life, the result is just outstanding and your phone will likely last a full day even with intensive use, even more for standard use. It's also worth pointing out that this is a case that won't stop you from using NFC, a feature that is disabled by many other battery cases. As for the look and the feel, I don't understand some of negative comments here. Sure it makes your phone pretty thick and weighty but don't see how you can avoid it. As for the feel it doesn't make your phone feel like a bar of soap but makes it look rather cool.Simply put a must have if you wanna give your phone a second life.

Not that durable
originally a five star product but after a couple of months of using, the button for the power switch broke and is now quite annoying to use. The battery life seems to have deteriorated after a few months as well. Quite promising at first but not designed to last. If the power button did not break I would highly recommend this but it did, and now I can't pull out my phone from my pockets without opening apps or creating screenshots.
