Great light, but had small malfunction. *Updated*
First of all I got this light basically free thanks to a promotional. Here's my experience with using it and insight. The dive-light itself is made from aircraft aluminium and extremely tough, even if it's a little heavy. It came with extra o-ring and complete instructions. It does not come with a wrist strap which is essential if you intend to dive with it. I use 4 - 3000 mAh 3.7v Li-ion 18650 batteries for the unit and they provided PLENTY of light. Took the unit on a dive yesterday off of Jupiter, Florida. 1st dive was a wreck dive and the light functioned flawlessly. The threaded battery compartment comes pre-greased, but it's a good idea to add a small amount of vacuum grease to the treads and make sure your o-ring is properly seated before you dive. The unit is small enough to fit into a BC pocket, which is great when you are exiting and entering a boat. This would have been a 5 star review had the unit not malfunctioned on the second dive. The dive-light would not turn off despite me turning the bezel a number of times. The light is now stuck on if batteries are in it and I don't know how to fix this particular malfunction. When I opened up the light after the dive to avoid the light getting too hot and blinding everyone on board (it is VERY bright), there seemed to be a little water inside, but that could have been from my wet hands opening it to remove the batteries. I've let the unit dry overnight now and it still remains lit if I put batteries in it. I contacted support to see if the problem can be fixed. If so, I will gladly change this review to a more positive one, it is a great little light, if not for the malfunction. If a light is going to fail though, it's much better to fail ON than OFF.*UPDATE* Received a new light that works perfectly. Submerged it in water for over an hour and tested it with no issues. Will dive with it in a couple of weeks. I'll have to do more testing, but I think I might have figured out the malfunction of the light staying on. The battery holder has two spring-loaded brass plates on the top and bottom. Depress these plates and make sure they come back into place before you insert the batteries into the flashlight. If these plates get stuck, the light will stay on.

Amazong product!
Have 3 of these now and been using it daily for weeks, robust and good brightness easy to use and i love the handle (attaching it to our spearguns while swimming at night catching fish)Only complains i would have is that it would be nicer if the beam was less of a throw light and more of a "spread" light. As a underwater flashlight i feel u want to see more whats around you then whats very far away.Sidenote about that is that when recording with my go pro i get a very bright spot in the middle due to the concentrated beam.

Brightest in group, first light to have no battery life.
I took this on a few night dives and it was by far the brightest light in the group. However, it was only bright for 10-15 minutes and then it starting flashing. I was afraid it was going to give someone a seizure under water. I used it a few more times not really sure why it kept flashing but then I realized it was because the batteries were low. I dont like how they require "special batteries". Once I realized if I didn't have it on full blast, it lasted much longer. Another issue is the dial you use to turn the brightness often gets stuck. I have to add grease to the dial for it to get better but it does get stuck. It also doesn't come with an attachment to attach to your BCD so you have to find something to use for that. But if you can look past those things, its a good, bright, heavy light.

Faulty products, bought two lights same results!! Poor quality!!
I bought this as my primary dive light back in 2016. This light is a beast!! I do lots of night dives and deep dives (Max recreational depth limits) . Haven't had any problems and it is extremely bright. Very strong beam for looking into holes etc...Not recommended for underwater photography though. I have a gopro 6 and the light beam is so bright it just whites out any pics/video.Great dive light and would recommend for sure.****Update***Dive flight has finally failed, but not cause of water intrusion. I turn the light on, go diving, but once I get down to about 50 feet, it shuts off. The weird thing is, when I get to the surface it turns back on. So now I need to get a different light.Update #2:Bought another one if these lights and the same damn thing happened. After about 20-30 dives it quits working when I get to about 60fsw. Don't waste your money, there is a pattern here of faulty products!

Great light but not waterproof.
I gave this product 2 stars instead of 1 because most of the description was true. The light truly was bright and the manufacturing design/material was very solid and durable. The problem was that it took water when descending more than 50 ft. I was at the depth of 50 ft for approximately 6 minutes when the light began to flicker. I continued my dive at an average of 30 ft thereafter for approximately 30 additional minutes. Although the light continued to function, the dial to change intensity settings would no longer work. The light stayed on at a continuous high setting with occasional flickering or blackouts.Post dive, I opened the flashlight revealing 1/3 flooding. No corrosion was present, but that was to be expected since it was a fresh water dive. The O-rings were intact and greased appropriately. The housing was screwed together firmly, hand tight. It appeared to fail at that opening, however, as there was no water present where the led bulb resides. I used protected batteries as well, otherwise I might have been looking at an additional cost of battery replacement.I really wanted this light to work. I liked the build, design, and toughness of this product but, it didn't serve it's main purpose which was to be water proof at an even much greater depth than it experienced. Maybe I got a bad light, who knows. I will be spending more money and purchasing a more dependable brand light.
