You really need this for your Vox VT series modeling amp.
For $65 or so, this unit gives you freedom to change patches while standing at the mic or sitting on a stool. It's tough and simple. You can switch between two banks of 4 patches each. Comes with the patch cord. Self-powered. I wish it had the A/B toggle option to stay on one button for 2 patches, but you have to stomp every button individually every time, so set it up to have your most used patches grouped close together. Works great, makes no noise whatsoever when switching sounds.

Must have if you own a VT amp
I have a Vox vt40+ and I must say this is a must, if you are just playing by yourself or use your amp for recording maybe you won't need one of these, but if you are rehearsing or playing live you are going to love this.Very well constructed, looks like it can take a beat, and if you are playing live, you know you need something reliable, there are always "accidents"You can switch through your 4 channels and your red and green bank, so you can actually have 8 sounds ready for you under your feet. Now, that's all it does, it's a footswitch, you can't control anything else. Some people complain "why can't it do this or that" it's because it's design to be a footswitch not a pedalboard. The cable is long enough.

Good pedal, unlocks the potential of the Valvetronix amps.
I bought this to use with my Vox VT40x, which I'll use for home use and small-ish gigs. The amp works great for this application but to get the most out of it for a live gig I really needed this pedal. I gave it four stars - I probably would have given it 3-1/2 if I could have. I'll tell you why - but first, the good stuff. The pedal is very sturdy. It works just as it should, and is pretty much plug-n-play. It enables me to choose from four main sounds and a second bank of four alternates. Switching banks is easy but I find I only really need to have the special effects in bank 2.On to the slight criticism...the tradeoff for this thing being sturdy is that it's big and bulky; heavier than I'd hoped. Also - and this is the main reason I did not rate this higher - there are no LEDs for the individual channel footswitches. It would have been great to be able to know what channel you're on without looking at the amp. Finally, and this one would have been nice to have - you cannot tap tempo from the footswitch or trigger the tuner. That would have been killer.Still - a good pedal that works just fine for what it is.

Essential for your VT series Vox
I’ve had a Vox VT40x for about 5 years now, and this switch really opened up its usefulness. Not only does it give you access to instantly switching your 8 user preset channels, it also allows you to toggle your 3 effect channels on both the user presets and the built in presets. The interface is not always the most intuitive, so make you sure you go to the Vox website and read the manual, which is not included.

Solidly built and a convenient way to access saved settings
I'm using this with my Vox Cambridge 50 amp, which has an input specifically for this type of pedal. Note that this is not an pedal with built in effects. It saves the setting you want to save when used with a compatible amp. For example, on my Cambridge 50, I can set various parameters such as reverb, chorus, and amp model emulation, then save it to the pedal so I can switch to it by tapping a button instead of turning the knobs on the amp each time.
