Logisys Power Supply Upgrade for Acer Veriton Desktop Computer - Fits The Following Models: 7700G, 7700GX, 7900, 7900PRO, AP

I wasn't going to buy this because of some bad reviews (that I don't agree with due to my own experience after buying and installing this item August 2019) but after I read another Positive review here, I realized I have the same model PC as that helpful person described with pictures of it installed in their PC, that verified the fit for my PC! I ordered this and it fit and works very well with my Acer Aspire TC-780, boots faster, brand new and even came with a brand new power cord. I no nothing about PCs so after I plugged it all up exactly like my old one was, said a prayer, and flipped to Power On on the power supply switch, and pressed PC On power button HA! my PC came back to life and booted and I just had to press F1 button on my keyboard when prompted on PC monitor during boot-up and DANG my PC works again! I was so worried that I lost all my files and had already expected to have to pay over 500 bucks for new PC but the detailed review I mentioned above and this awesome power supply saved me big bucks! I ordered another one as a spare as insurance and at 22 bucks it's well worth it! I also give Seller positive feedback for fast shipping, Thank you!

I bought this to replace a power supply gone bad. It fit perfectly in the case. The one thing I miss, however, is the "Noise Killer" from the original unit. This allows the fan speed to be controlled by the temperature of the power supply. Most of the time the computer is idle and not drawing a lot of power, so the noise killer will slow the fan down to make it whisper-quiet. This fan does not slow down based on power draw, but it is not so loud that it is irritating.

I have an older Gateway that was shutting off randomly. This replacement power supply is slightly louder as the fan runs full speed all the time, but I guess that should keep things cooler, not really a big deal for me. I did have to relocate my hard drive as the power cable did not reach to where it was originally located. Overall it works and that is what I needed. Would have been 5 stars with a little more length on the cables.

This power supply does the job okay but it is pretty lightweight and cheaply made. The wiring hook-up wasn't real strait forward. Some of it didn't match other colors and required some thought before simply hap-hazardly hooking it up. The original unit in the Acer computer was very heavy duty and had been in operation since 2004. Can't beat that for performance. For the price and because it does the job I gave this power supply a 3 star rating.

Update, 2015. I've had this power supply for a couple years now and it now the fan makes lots of noise which is somewhat excusable, although I've blown the dust out of it at least every six months. Recently I've moved and put my radio next to my computer, this is when I found out why this power supply is so cheap. IT's missing PARTS! It has no AC power filter and created massive amounts of RFI (radio frequency interference). IF you look at the photo the PFC choke is missing. I don't think i'll buy the parts to fix it, as it's not that great of a power supply to begin with.On top of that they should have been more specific as to the RMS and MAX watt output.

I purchased this power supply to replace the factory unit in my trusty AcerPower S285 desktop in May 2013. This power supply is engineered and manufactured better than the factory unit, plus it has a higher power output. I will buy from this vendor and manufacturer for any future power supply replacements. I have had three desktop power supplies die of old age. With shipping, the price was under $23.00. This is a great value.

Very important: DOES NOT FIT the Acer Aspire M3910. The Peripheral power connectors are too short to reach both the hard drive and cd-rom where they are factory installed. Because I'm desperate, I took the hard drive out of it's cage and moved it so the cord would reach. It's, now, only connected on one side - leaving the other side floating. I don't recommend doing this.

I was able to repair the wife's gateway computer, but I had to relocate the hard drive since the SATA power would not reach both DVD and HD connections. Otherwise, shipping was fast, and product works great!
