Great if you leave-up & don't need to set-up or fold-up
I bought this pen to use in my small home office. The smaller size and rectangular shape of the pet pen works well in smaller rooms (like my office) where a larger playpen would be overwhelming. My tiny poodle pup used it from 10-weeks until she was fully potty-trained, so it was only used for a few months and was still in great condition when I gave it away. I set up 3 playpens in the rooms I use most frequently, and took the puppy with me from room-to-room placing her in that room's playpen. So, while she was mostly confined to one playpen or another, she wasn't unsupervised. Collapsing this particular pen was very difficult and it was impossible to fit it back into the carrying case that came with it. When I finally gave it away, the carrying case was alongside it, because I never could stuff it back into that case. This pen is durable, but I can recommend it only if you want to set it up and leave it in place. If you have the space for a larger pen, I highly recommend the Graco child playpen (our Graco has seen 16 years' service with no rips in the netting) which is much easier to put up and take down, stores, cleans and travels easily, and costs about $20 less. We still use the playpen now that she is fully grown. We take it camping to keep her safely confined while we sit outside, to motels where she needs to be confined, and we take it visiting when we don't want her wandering their house or yard unattended.

Nice Quality Unit But Folding Was A Bit Difficult
We have this in the corner of our bedroom for our new Morkie puppy. There is enough room for a bed, potty pad and food/water dish. It tucks nicely in a corner and takes up minimal space. It is very easy to reach down and grab the pup out of it in the morning. I think she likes the visibility through the mesh screen sides. The unit is very sturdy and seemingly good quality. I have only tried folding it once and it seemed a bit awkward and difficult to fold but that was probably my fault. I would recommend keeping the folding instructions and practice with it a bit. We use this for a specific location and use other octagonal pop open pens for travel.

pet gear home n go pet pen
I was disappoint in this product. The Pet Pen is a wonderful bed for my little dog chico who weighs about 6 pounds. I had another one, but it was destroyed from a bursted pipe in the ceiling. This one was to replace the destroyed one because Chico loved his bed. When I received it the packaging was great and it had a nice bag for the pen. However the hooks on the bottom was very hard to get down and one on the top will not latch into place. I needed this pen immediatly so I couldn't send it back. I would recommend this product even though mine was broke. I could have sent it back, and Amazon I'm sure would have made it right, but I didn't have time. Chico needed a bed, and he loved it anyway.

Mixed Thoughts
It's very cute. Seems like a great idea. As for my beagle, who was 2 months, now 4, he hates it. He chews it, and now is tall enough to jump out. If you have a dog or a puppy that can handle being inside one, It's fantastic. It's compact, airy, comes with a Velcro bottom to wetproof. Nice little treat pouch. Great for small dogs who behave well (or fairly well lol).

Pet Gear Home 'N' Go Pet Pen
I chose this product as I required a portable bed for my two small dogs, to share. Both dogs climb in and share it very well, they sleep in it both during the day with the door open and at night with the door closed. It is well constructed, comes with a floor mat, extras bag and a carry bag for the pen when it is folded down. There has been some questions asked of me regarding the netting withstanding claws and teeth, which I am unable to answer as both my dogs have not tried to damage it. However I feel it would not sustain too much wear and tearing from a puppy/dog using their claws and teeth. The only surprise was how heavy it was

Great for home absolutely not and Go
Works great for our new puppy. It gives him a place to be when he eats or cant be supervised. We still use his crate for when he sleeps, but great little haven for him, or really for us when we need to do stuff. Impossible to easily collapse and take with you. Thought it would be like baby pack and play but not so. Good start but work on the portability pet gear.

This product is so great for containing an 8 week old puppy!
I recently got an 8 week old rottweiler/hound mix puppy she was about 15 lbs to start with, but was still too little to have in the bed with our other big 5 month old hound puppy. So I purchased this pen for beside the bed at night to keep her in. She loves her pen and even prefers to sleep in the pen instead of the bed now. She is about 12 weeks now and maybe 25lbs and she has been chewing on the sides of the pen, but the pen is holding up to her puppy teething very well. I have not had to repair the pen at all. The only down side to this pen is putting it together. It seemed like at first the sides would not stay up, but eventually I got them to stay up and the pen has not collapsed yet. Even my big 50lb 6 month old puppy jumps in and out of this pen from our bed and the pen is still holding up strong. I would highly recomend this product if you plan to contain a puppy or small dog in it supervised, like I said my big dog with long legs can jump in and out of this pen with ease, so it is probably not great for a big dog to be contained in.

Brilliant but probably only for small pups
I bought this for my 6 month old Havanese Puppy so that she can be in it at my work. It means that I can safely have her next to my desk and, as long as the front door is shut, she can wander in and out of it as she pleases. But with the ability to zip up the front it means that I can also contain her if needed. It took a couple of goes to work out how to get the top ridges to click in place, but now that I've got the hang of it it's perfect. It works for a Havanese, but she isn't very big. I can fit her bed in it and still give her some space to play. I doubt it would be strong enough for very determined escaping dogs. It's quite heavy, so fine if you're going to transport it in a car, but not exactly hand luggage.Still very glad I chose this one.

Eaten through in less than 10 minutes
This is my second play pen in 4 months. The second one was chewed through on the seams in less than ten minutes by my 5 month old westie puppy. The seams showed light through at the door end before use and he just decided to eat through it from then on. We left him for ten minutes while answering the door and the result was a large hole big enough for his nose and foot! Needs some reinforcement on the seams before this will be suitable.

Don't buy...
The stitch along the corners is poor, my 5 month old westie puppy was able to destroy it within less than 5 minutes. It is now 100% useless as he can now fit his full body through the hole.We have tried repairing it but the damage is too much to repair... £70 well spent...

Wonderful product, well designed and attractive as well as ...
I purchased to keep my 8 week old puppy chihuahua safe. Since purchasing it I have used it for short periods every day. When the doorbell goes, if I don't want her under my feet and if I have someone here working. Wonderful product, well designed and attractive as well as practical.

good on the first use
when i bought this product it was for when my dog had her puppys and i found it great, its been stored under my bed till today, all 3 sides, bar one of the mechanism doesnt hold up, i have had to cut through the material to find what the problem is, it just doesnt click into place, i am well dissapointed. i am going to try and reinforced it somehow, but now it just looks tacky.
