Inflation hits everyone
Love the tea, but the cost has gone up astronomically. Not happy with the way costs are rising. May have to switch to some other affordable brand.

Tazo China Green Tips Green Tea
I have been drinking this tea for about a year, on and off. It is the best green tea that I have tasted. I brew it overnight at room temperature, and I find that it has a full, smooth, and mild flavor.Another writer stated that the fluoride levels associated with this tea are 8 mg/L - that is, indeed, pretty high. Unfortunately, the writer did not quote a source or describe how the levels were measured, so we don't know how realistic this number is, and how it relates to the number of cups consumed. Unfortunately, too, it seems that many other sites have picked up all these Amazon reviews verbatim, and copied them to their own sites, so this information is spread across the net. I have heard (from other sources) of Chinese product fluoride levels and would like to know the truth - in real numbers - about the fluoride levels in China Green Tips tea. So I contacted Starbucks. They replied..."Thank you for contacting Starbucks Coffee Company. Unfortunately, the information you are requesting is proprietary information, which we are unable to divulge. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." One wonders if by "proprietary," do they mean that the fluoride levels are part of the "secret" ingredients from which they make China Green Tips tea (and here I was thinking that the tea was, well, you know, tea leaves...) OR are the fluoride levels really so high that they are afraid to let folks know for fear that tea sales will suffer? One can only speculate...~R~Update: 2010-12-02: I contacted the FDA to get their informal (non-binding) opinion. They replied that Starbucks answer is accurate under federal law. The FDA does not currently have authority over food service and the regulations for labeling do not apply. Foods imported into the U.S. must comply with FDA regulations so no excess of fluoride or other contaminants would be permitted. So I did further research and found this report "[...]", which has entries showing green teaTea, green, brewed - 1.15 ppmTea, green, decaffeinated, brewed - 2.72 ppmIn water, at low concentrations, the approximation 1ppm = 1 mg/L holds up pretty good because the density of the solution is approximately 1 g/mL or 1 kg/L If you start getting in the range greater than 1000 mg/L, this starts breaking down.So we still don't know why Starbucks doesn't want to give a range for fluoride for their green teas. I /did/ discover that green tea has much less fluoride, on average, than black tea. (See the report.)These folks "[...]" state (2010.12.02) "We have had our organic green tea products tested for fluoride at an independent laboratory and the test results have shown none detected." (I neither recommend for nor recommend against this company.)"The American Journal of Medicine, Volume 118, Issue 1 , January 2005, Pages 78-82, Skeletal fluorosis and instant tea" may be of some interest.~R~

Convenient and Delicious! The Best of Both Worlds.
I love a good Darjeeling tea, with it's rich and strong tea flavor. However, most decent Darjeelings are sold loose, which is wonderful when I am at home and have time to brew a pot of tea, but messy and unmanageable when I'm out. This is a great compromise. The tea tastes as if it is a very good quality, and the bag makes it neat and convenient. An expert tea taster would probably reject this, as they reject all bagged tea. But it's delicious for everyday drinking and has converted many of my friends from cheap tea bags to this nice Darjeeling and then onto delicious loose tea. One thing: Because Darjeeling is strong, expect to get more than one cup of tea from a tea bag. I make two bags of tea at a time, using one tea bag. Both cups are strong and delicious, and I could probably get more tea out of the same tea bag. But I'm not about to save a wet tea bag overnight, so making the two cups is enough economy for me.

Tazo's take on Charles Grey's concoction will knock your whig off!
I use Earl Grey to help me work. There, I said it. It's an important, almost critical, part of my afternoon - and Tazo EG fit the bill like no other EG I've tried. When my local grocery store, for some insane reason, stopped stocking Tazo Earl Grey I switched to Bigelow EG - which is acceptably decent (I really like the foil packs. I think the packaging helps keep the tea fresher.) - but I still missed that little bergamot punch in the face that the Tazo always delivered.I opted to try the Stash EG, the various Numi EG offerings, and even the Trader Schmoe stuff: Weak. Weak. Weak. Like other reviewers I often tried double-bagging the weaker teas, but you can imagine the looks people give you when they see you trying to wrangle two tea bags out of your mug, it was just a hassle I didn't need. So, I needed to find a new source for my Tazo Earl Grey fix - and I did. Thank you, Amazon, for offering this hugely important staple of my life.

Tea Delicious and delivered on time and in great shape(NT)
This Tazo OM Tea is delicious. I use it in the morning instead of coffee. This is how I prepare my large morning mug of tea. I heat water in my electric kettle, meanwhile I place a Tazo OM teabag, and a single serving bag of "regular" black tea in my mug, along with a pkt of Stevia, maybe with an additional teaspoon of Stevia because it is a big mug. After the kettle clicks off because it has boiled, I pour the boiling water over the tea bags, etc, placing one finger over the Tazo teabag STRING draped over the edge of the mug, so the string is not so likely to end up in the mug. Let steep for 3-5 minutes, squeeze out the teabags(I use a teabag squeezer I got at the English Tea Store online), then add my non-fat half-n-half. I enjoy this more than coffee, no sour aftertaste, and MUCH gentler on my system than coffee! TMI! Have a great day!
