The MV50 SuperFlow high-volume air compressor is perfect for trucks, SUVs, RVs and other full-size vehicles, and is designed for everyday use--from blowing up your kids' soccer ball to filling up a flat tire. The MV50's 12 volts of power and 120 PSI capacity is comparable to other higher-priced compressors. Features include a 10-foot power cord to reach around the vehicle, a detachable 16-foot hose long to connect from compressor to tire, a built-in pressure gauge, and alligator clips to hook directly to battery. The MV50 delivers flow up to 72 lpm (2.54CFM). Adapters and carrying bag included. Great item if you have an SUV and need air for off-road activities.

Not a maytag.
I have owned this product for 4 years, and you might look at that and think "wow, 4 years!" BUT, I have replaced everything on it enough times that I'm not sure there's an original piece left. The fittings are non standard, too, so replacing things is not an easy feat. The first thing to go was the air filter, it just snapped off one day when something in the trunk shifted. Then the hose split and I had to use several adapters to get a replacement hose to work. It started overheating and the fuse blew several times. Today, the fuse box melted and the replacement hose split, so it's time to finally replace it... I will not buy another one of these but I'm not sure there are many good portable tire inflators on the market at all, the ratings all seem artificially inflated, which is strange but par for the course anymore when companies give people freebies in exchange for reviews. I want a piece of equipment that lasts 20 years with light use, not something I have to replace in 4 after using it two or three times a year...

The Jury Is Out!!
I bought this pump in 2011 and keep it in my Jeep for emergencies only. Well last week I had an emergency. I had a sharp rock pierce a tire and unfortunately I didn't have the key to the lock on my spare (that will never happen again). I was stranded way off road in the middle of nowhere with my wife. I had a plug repair kit so I plugged and inflated it with the MV50 but the hole was so large it was still leaking pretty bad. No problem I thought I would stop every 3 miles and re-inflate. Well at the first three mile mark I stopped and hooked up the compressor and it started to inflate and then quit. The fuse and holder melted into a glob of plastic. I made it out of the situation BARELY by playing desert racer as time was of the essense. After I got home I cut out the melted fuse holder and spliced in a heavy duty fuse holder and a new fuse I bought at Pep Boys. It's working so far but wQ Industries MV50 SuperFlow High-Volume 12-Volt Air Compressore'll see how it holds up. I am testing it at home over and over to make sure it is dependable before putting it back in the Jeep.Update 10/14/17: The Jury in, it let me down again and now resides in a dumpster in Utah. Looking for a RELIABLE replacement. New Rating 1 Star.

Stopped Working after 1st use, found out they had the wiring incorrect under the cover where the on/off switch is located.
Worked one time after getting the unit, 6 months later would not even turn on. I took the back cover off to check the voltages and ohm out the wiring to find why it was not turning on. What I found was the wire that is used to connect the ground wire to the battery was connected to a relay that the switch is connected to, then the relay switch was connected to the red positive wire going into the motor. The positive wire going to the battery was connected to directly to the black ground wire going into the motor. I removed the two wire nuts under the cover and reversed them, now the positive wire coming from the battery goes to the relay switch, that the on/off switch is connect to that then feed power to the red wire going to the motor, the black wire coming from the battery is now going directly to the black ground wire into the motor. Not sure this thing even worked a single time since the relay switch needs 12v to operate correctly, instead they had the ground from the battery going to the relay switch. After I wired it correctly it now works.

Naked on the side of the road ? Get your Big Boy pants on and fix that flat .
I like this product . I have 10 ply tires on my truck as per law and I wanted a compressor that could get them filled to the recommended 80 PSI . I put 73 in the front and 75 in the rear . I was running with 45 so it took about 15-20 minutes to get the tires inflated . I did not jack them up and the compressor worked hard to get the extra 30 PSI in but that is how I do it for a flat repair , if I don't have to jack it up I won't . Get to the nail or drywall screw , remove it and plug the hole . People chat about cutting the bands with a plug but I think the screw or nail has already done that so what's the harm in plugging , rather than patching ? I was a little put off by the direct connection to the battery but it worked fine with the engine running . The little motor kept an even pace and did not get too hot to the touch even after 15-20 minutes of constant work . The gauge is useful but I also went with the Tekton digital tire gauge . It made me feel professional and that's always a plus .Do invest in a quality tire repair kit . Even if it consists of a couple cans of fix-a-flat . The only regret you might have is not getting one sooner .

Very nice little compressor
Very nice little compressor. Inflates tires to proper pressure readily. I've had one for 8 years. The only issues I have are with the accessories. The carrying case (it's nice it has one, some don't) had problems with some of the fasteners breaking. One of the battery clamps is coming apart - still works but you have to be very careful, I have another set of clamps on order from Amazon. And the other day I was stretching the hose to top off a rear tire on my pickup and the hose just came apart. I bought a hose repair kit with a couple of tapered fittings to clamp the two separated sections of hose onto, and the hose just seemed to disintegrate every time I tried to push the fittings into it. I bought another hose and some additional fittings from Lowes and I'm back in business.

Does not like LT tires
Have had it for 2 days now, first tire I tried inflating was one on a rolling chassie I have (no motor or body), LT tires, spent about 20 min to hit 40psi. Thing was so HOT after the air hose probably would of blew apart after another minute or so. I waited a hour or so and inflated my wife's low profile tire on her car, took about 5 min but was VERY hot after also. We shall see how it holds up.

This little pump can do big things.
This little pump can do big things. Keep a can of slime and this pump in the trunk and it almost guarantees a "drive home" situation.

Good pump bad hose
Hose could not stand the heat put out by the pump. Because of this it hearted and developed a bubble which then burst.

Cool little compressor
Cool little compressor, way better than a cigar lighter outlet powered one. One gripe I have about it is the air filter. It is a cheap plastic piece that hangs off the end.

Easy to use
Easy to use, convenient to put away. Gets extremely hot in 3mins of continued operation but will fully inflate 4 32" mud tires from 6psi (offroad airdown) to 30 psi with no...
