Otimo Laptop Cooling Pad for 12-17 inch Laptop - 5 Ultra Quiet Fans - USB Powered w/2 Ports - Adjustable Angled Stand - USB Hub

I've had this cooling pad for about a month now. I use this for my pretty old Dell Inspiron 14R, which has had overheating problems. The cooling pad has no problem fitting the 14" screen, and I can see it accommodating 17 inches easily. It's made of durable plastic and is propped up by a strong enough metal bar with 6 different heights, including the flat position. You can adjust the position between about 15 degrees to about 40 degrees. Two small feet at the bottom can be flipped up to prevent the laptop from sliding down on higher positions. They are very sturdy and padded so as to not scratch the laptop.The laptop sits on a strong metal mesh. Under the mesh is 4 small fans on the outer corners, and one big fan in the center. I don't see the need for this feature, but a bright blue LED is emitted when the fan is on which looks really high tech and awesome. This is more than enough to keep my dinosaur laptop from overheating and slowing down. The fans run very quietly even on the highest setting (you can adjust the fan speed using a small scroll wheel in the back, which simultaneously adjusts the brightness of the LEDs).There are two usb ports in the back of the pad. With the included cable you can get this up and running by plugging into one of your laptop's usb ports. The cable is more than long enough, and I had to zip tie it to a smaller length to keep things clean. The second usb port on the pad can be used for a mouse or usb drive or whatever you need.This pad is best for laptops that are old and have overheating problems, or if you want to use your laptop on your bed without suffocating the fans from the bedding. As a college student I do a lot of my homework on my bed and hated when my laptop got mad at me for putting it on top of my bed sheets. This cooling pad saved me that trouble.

I recently purchased an "Otimo Laptop Cooling Pad, 12 - 17 Inch," to replace a cooling pad which stopped working. Although I've only had my new Otimo cooling pad for a short time, I am very pleased with it (so far).Here's some of the things I like about it:1. It is the perfect size for my laptop. It fits well on my laptop desk without hanging over the edge.2. It allows me to adjust my viewing angle so I can see my keyboard easily. It has several height adjustments, so I can raise my computer almost vertical or lay it completely flat.3. It has two flip-up tabs on the front edge that hold my laptop in place on the cooling pad, preventing it from slipping. The tabs are very sturdy and do not interfere with my wrists or hands.4. It runs very quietly. There is a variable-speed rotary switch that allows me to adjust fan speed however I want. The five fans push a surprisingly large volume of air at the highest speed.5. There are two USB ports on the back of the cooling pad - one for connecting to my laptop with the supplied USB cable, and a spare port for general use.6. It is ruggedly built from what appears to be of high quality materials.It's probably still a bit early to determine how reliable my new Otimo laptop cooling pad is, but so far it is working well and performing its main function - keeping my laptop cool - quietly and efficiently. Highly recommended.

Works very quietly. The led lights while fun, are unnecessary. Major dislike is the non skid pads that stick up. I cannot use the right one as it presses into my wrist as I type. The left is more out of the way. Bottom of my laptop has non skid pads so I tend to only use only the left one. Easily adjusts to different heights. Large enough for my 17 in. laptop. Too big to be easily carried to a coffee shop. Cooling pad is great to use on my desk. Noticeably cools my laptop. Good value but I think slightly overpriced given the no skid pad issue and the amount of plastic- albeit durable- that it is made of. If the top were entirely non skid or the side were nonskid and the price were lower, this would be perfect.

bot this Aug 1, 2017.. nice little fan cooling system.. only thing,as has happened with any other laptop cooling pad I have ever bot, the USB connector port goes defective.. June 24, 2018... the USB port that powers the unit on the back of the cooling pad has become loose and will not hold the USB connector cord in place.. therefore the fans are not "fanning" and obviously wont do its job. When it was operating, it did a very nice job. If I can figure out how to get that USB port stay put and not wobble around, it would be a great unit.. The adjusting angles are nice..oh well.. at least it didnt cost an arm and a leg.. Ill keep looking..UPDATE: 6/26/18emailed the supplier thru Amz.. was contacted within the 3 day stated response time, and was offered a refund or a replacement.. I opted for replacement. Note that this is 10 months after the initial purchase.. so far pleased with the CS.. we will see about the product. Like I said, I liked the product.
