Easton MAKO COMP 3 BBCOR Adult Baseball Bat

I gave up Minor League Baseball 38 years ago due to seeing double vision on fastballs. Now at 56 I have overcome that long dead demon. It took me 3 months to feel comfortable in the 80 mile an hour batting cage. I now dominate it for as much as 3 hours in a row. Whole teams can't figure out how I do it. As for BATS.... I tried the Rawlings Quatro and thought it was great. But the Easton Mako kept calling my name. I ordered it and I just got it yesterday. The difference between the bats is NIGHT & DAY! Not only is the POP noticeably more striking (pun intended) the SOUND is MAJOR LEAGUE WOOD GOOD & remarkable. Yes, it sounds like WOOD, GOOD WOOD on even foul tips. Here is another difference. I am a little guy (5'8") with little guy power (occasional). With the MAKO, not only do I have more power, but I have power to right field as a right-hander (opposite field). What is right field power to me? Dribblers and bloops are now line drives and down the line warning track smack that reaches the wall. That my friends is POP! This is such a remarkable bat, I may buy a second. As I said, I bought it last week, a week before BLACK FRIDAY and paid only $119.00. Even at MUCH MORE, I am seriously considering getting another as a back up. Oh, you will like this, a player from Camarillo High School Baseball team (Camarillo, California), was there with his pretty swing (line drives and power everywhere), he used the Quatro which he loved with its 32" / 26oz, drop -6. My Mako is a drop -3 and is 34 inches. I convinced him to try my bigger bat. HE LOVED MY MAKO! Not only that, but he had more power as well and his stoke was even better. His plentiful line drives had serious pop now. There may be better bats, but I can't imagine that. Finally, he said the same thing about the sound that I did, the Mako sounds JUST LIKE GOOD WOOD on every swing. The Mako is remarkable. What a bat! I got this for my son who's a junior in high school. He says it's got great swing speed and amazing pop.

Bought this for my son in July 2016. Today is December 2016 and the cheapest I can find this bat on line outside Amazon is $249. This is the best price you will find on this bat and comes direct from Easton. My rising sophmore used this during his summer season and hit like a beast. We have always used Easton bats since he was 10 yrs old and we have always been happy. We had one bat crack 3 years ago and they replaced it with a brand new one. Stick with Easton, quality, consistency, performance, let it rip!!!

I bought this for my son who is a high school sophomore playing JV baseball. It replaced a prior Easton that he'd used for just over two seasons so it was time. He really loves this bat. Says it's very live and has much better pop. Now, it's hard to say if there's any difference other than that the other bat was getting tired but he has tried several others that teammates use and he's very happy with this one. For the price I paid, which was much less than other outlets, I'm very much satisfied with the outcome.

My son had a drop 5 XL1 that he loved. He was concerned about the drop of pop and the increased weight. The drop 5 was end loaded, and this is balanced, which meant they both felt similar when swung. That part was required little to no transition. There isn't as much pop, but if there was, it wouldn't be BBCOR. It is a very popular bat on my son's team. I'd guess about 1/3 of the team has this bat.

Hey you know what, it's a hit a miss, if you want brand new; spend the dollars buy brand new. I have bought stuff Amazon Inc and I agree somethings are not as good as they should be that are resold. Send it back. This time I got lucky and got a good product. Thank you very much. 5 stars this time.

Bat split at handle in less than 5 uses. Only used real baseballs, rotated handle on hitting off tee, soft toss and front toss. Terrible!

My son plays High school, Legion and Showcase ball. He liked his first one so much he asked if I could find another So I did . He still uses the old one...Just started using the new one
