Delicious Flavor of Chicken, a little goes a long way!
I haven't had much money to spend of food, in fact, I can't really afford actual meat products very often, so I needed to simulate some type of "Chicken" or "Beef" flavoring in my instant grits and was looking to create bullion soups to eat with saltine crackers - anything to keep from going hungry.Well, this product is quite delicious and it genuinely gives the flavor of chicken, which is in the product itself. I recently purchased another product called "Hearts of Palm Noodles", which I chopped up and added to the chicken bullion soup along with some spices I have and onion flakes; it was so very delicious and satisfying. I was very pleased with my meal and this particular product.I'm hoping to try their "Beef" flavor in the near future and I hope you'll give this product a try yourself.

Keystone Meats Soup Base, Chicken 8 Ounce review
The Keystone Meats Soup Base, Chicken in 8 Ounce is very good for gravies, stews, soups and great for flavoring meats, beans, rice and pastas. A little goes a long way and good pricing..

A little too salty
I've used beef and chicken bases before, this is a little too salty but I'll make adjustments to my recipes to accommodate the saltiness. It's useful to have in the kitchen. I use broths all the time in cooking.

Shelf stable goodness
I got this as an item for my long term pantry. I like to have the healthiest things possible on my shelves. This is much better than bullion cubes. This tastes very wholesome and is far less salty than cubes. So good and shelf stable. All Keystone products I've tried have been tasty so far. Well worth it.

Good to the last slurp
Makes an excellent cup of broth to sip on when you need a pick me up. I love using this to make a hearty vegetable soup using Harmony House dehydrated Green Beans, Carrots, Tomatoes, Potatoes, Celery, Zucchini, Mushrooms, Corn, Broccoli and Leeks; or to just make a quick simple chicken noodle soup, as these La Moderna noodles only take 4 minutes to cook.

Refrigerate after opening
I didn't realize this was a gooey paste instead of a powder. Hard to work with, sticks to measuring spoon, and requires refrigeration after opening. Will be going back to a dry formulation.

Purchased for disaster prep
Since I’m adding several jars to my long term food storage, I have not tried this stuff. The price was right and I anticipate it will be like any other product of this type

Pretty good chicken base.
Pretty good chicken base. Similar to something like "Better then Bullion" but it's got a little darker, richer color...I'm guessing it's got more vege base in it. It's good stuff. Use it to make broth for cooking in the IntaPot all the time, but it makes a fine soup base on it's own.
