Makes a great cup of tea

My spouse and I drink A LOT of tea and we typically buy Trader Joe's Irish Breakfast if we are in the States. However, we are now living overseas, in a country with very little variety of food options but fortunately, we can order this tea through the mail from Amazon. We esp like and appreciate the tea round bags, that have no strings, tags, staples or wrappers. In fact, I compost these tea bags when done steeping, and it makes it even more convenient to not have to remove any strings/tags. They do come in individual foil dividers of 3 per box, though for freshness. The tea contained in each round is not scanty; it has a good flavour and the taste is robust. We do like our tea strong, so tend to steep it for much longer than is typically recommended, but whatever you preference, this is a nice tea.

Ever since I lived in England 40 years ago, I've been drinking this. I love the taste with a splash of sugar and milk. I've never found an American brand tea that taste right. A kind neighbor in England, who was married to an American, taught me this.

I don’t always write reviews, however as soon as I opened my Amazon Box of Tetley British Blend Black Tea, I immediately had a cup of hot tea. For years, I only drink Hot Black Tea, not other flavors, so I am a pretty good connoisseur of Hot Black Tea. I used regular Lipton Black tea for years, thought it was getting expensive, so I thought I might as well try a more premium black tea on Amazon. My first purchase was an another brand of black tea, made in China, and it was just ok, not super special to me. This Tetley British Blend is so far my favorite. I don’t like black tea when it’s super strong, so I only leave the tea bag in my hot cup of water for about a minute. For me, This is my favorite blend of black tea I have ever tried. I am very happy with this purchase.

I don’t like the taste of coffee and ONLY drink black tea. As I’ve never experienced tea in Britain, I cannot speak to how true of a taste it is. However, I can — as an American who only uses Luzianne (like) and Publix brand (love) black tea bags, steeped well — say that this stuff is pretty good! I don’t like regular Tetley, Red Rose, PG tips, Twinings or Bigelow, and DESPISE Lipton black tea bags — I find them ALL to be bitter. This stuff did not taste bitter after a long steep. Plus, when in a hurry, the round bags fit perfectly into the Keurig pod compartment…sometimes TWO, if it’s gonna be a long day/was a long night.
