Mirari Roll & Return Ball

I love this ball. My 4-month-old granddaughter went into a fit of laughter when she saw me and her 11-year-old aunt playing with it with her 1-year-old cousin. I did find that it only works well on hard floor, not carpet. The other problem is that one of her older cousins kept throwing it on the floor and cracked the plastic, but if treated properly it is a fun little toy for a good price.

Seems cool.... but isn't. The problem with this toy is you have to roll it just right to get it to return to you... I don't know about you but I don't know that many babies that can roll a ball "perfectly." I bought this when my son was 5 months old it took me a few tries to figure out there are buttons on the side that supposedly switch on the "returning" function... then it took me way longer to realize that i had to roll it a specific way to get it to return... and that my baby wouldn't prob ever be able to do that. So it's just another ball, save your money.BTW- he's 14mo now and still can't roll it the proper way to get it to return. Useless.

Often un-sets itself and then does not roll back to baby. When it works it is fun, but it only works about 50% of the time.

I never could get this thing to "return" like it is supposed to. I can see how it SHOULD work, but it does not for whatever reason. There is an "on/off switch" feature on this ball too, in case that helps someone else figure out their non-returning ball... but that didn't help me. I think mine is just flawed somehow. But obviously, when my child will play with a cardboard box and spoon for a half hour, it doesn't really matter if her penguin ball comes back to her or not.

The Mirari Roll is a nice fun toy.The return feature is very valuable for a very small kid to him/her occupied as the ball just keeps coming back.The plastic casing cracked about a month in use!Very fragile but acceptable for the price!

Adorable ball that actually DOES roll back to you! Very affordable price. My grand-nephew LOVED it! :-)

Cute idea but it doesn't really roll back to the child. Even as an adult, you have to roll it with just the exact amount of pressure to get it to return even a little.And it's very hard plastic so when the child decided to throw it - and he will - it can hurt or break.

This is a super adorable toy. But I can't seem to make it roll back to us. I know there's a button on the side, and we've tried pushing it. It just won't roll back on the hardwood floor. It's strange. My sister got the same ball, and hers doesn't seem to roll back, either.Also, the box says "Penguin", but the ball was clearly an elephant.
