I have purchased two of these and they work great. However, the second one I purchased had older software where it cannot connect to the app. Huge bummer. Stock needs to be rotated better. I paid the same price for both a couple months apart.

Works great and even with your phone does a big area

I love how this purifier self-regulates it's fan speed based on air quality. I also love that I can remotely control the purifier (multiple) with my phone. This is a quality device that is high tech but easy to operate. It does a great job of keeping my air clean and doesn't require my input- I simply monitor conditions or control via the app.

As a happy owner of the regular versions of these air purifiers which take the same F2 filter, I was excited to order multiple of these smart ones recently for a new home. The purifier is very sleek looking and the build quality felt great (with a better door latch than the "dumb" version). I already had the Filtrete iOS app installed to track filter change timing for my HVAC system, and setting up this purifier was easy - right until it canceled setup with a message "Your Smart Air Purifier can no longer be connected to the Filtrete Smart App. Please call our Customer Support team." Apparently 3M is dropping its smart air purifier app support entirely this year, which is not mentioned at all on the product page. The manufacture date on the box is July 2021 and it was purchased new in 2026, meaning that in <5 years, most of the advertised features (including Alexa or Google home assistant integration, remote control, and air quality monitoring via the Filtrete app) are not available. What a shame! 3M, what are you doing? Returning.

FILTRETE is shutting down the Smart App functionality of this device at the end of 2026. I am aware the device will continue to work without the app. I bought and paid for a smart device. If I wanted the non-smart version I would have bought that one instead. This violates my purchase.

Don’t purchase this product if your hope is that it would interact with the 3M Filtrete app. Upon opening and commencing installation, I was prompted to contact 3M Customer Support and discovered the product had been discontinued and will no-longer work with the app. Customer Service was indifferent and simply said to return it. Incredibly disappointed with 3M and will be migrating to another manufacturer.
