I received a discount code for the purchase of this pen to review. I welcome comments both positive and negative. I really like this pen. I am a paid first responder and the pen is well built for my needs. I especially like the spring clip. It does not feel like it will break easily. The only down fall is that it is not a click pen it has a pen cap that I fear I will loose. I have another tactical pen and this one fits in my pocket better and is lighter than the other one.

This penlight is actually really rather cool. The light is WAY brighter than I had assumed it would be and runs off a single AAA battery which is provided.The product also comes with two replacement pressurized ink cartridges that can write at any angle and presumably underwater, which I didn't personally test. The real benefit from that is that you know that the pen will work at any time, under any circumstances. If you have to jot something down quickly, you don't want to have to be messing around with scratching lines to get the ink to start flowing and that's never going to be a problem with this guy.The whole pen has a decent weight because of the solid metal casing but it's balanced well so it doesn't fatigue your hand from writing. The cap screws on securely and I have complete confidence that the tungsten tip could shatter a window in an emergency.I really wouldn't recommend it as a self defense tool, unless you're already Jason Bourne and can kill people with a rolled up newspaper, but it is certainly solid enough to do some damage given the right opportunity.All things considered, if you're in the market for a cool penlight with a few bonus features, I'd totally recommend it.

At first I really liked it. Flashlight worked well, pen wrote well and it seemed sturdy, but then I dropped it and it broke right where the cap threaded on. Good thing I didn't need to use it in a fight it probably would have just broke. It only fell about 3 feet. Maybe if was just a flaw in my pen but who knows.
