Easy to install and appears to be a durable gate. Love the wide door. The door is also spring loaded and will close & self-lock. The spring loaded door will also stay open by itself if you open the door past 90 degrees. I bought this gate to keep the cats out. So far, they haven't jumped it yet.

This gate is pretty awesome! It wasn't bad installing either. Be sure you to follow instructions in regards to the gap, it works great as they state.

We tried a better looking wooden gate before this one but it was too heavy and started coming out of the wall. Decided to cave and get these less attractive gates and they do work. If they are anchored in the wall, they are sturdy. We like that they don’t make a loud noise when slamming closed, minimal sound.We got the 4in nanny wall extenders to fit them better in our stairwell.FYI Cats can easily fit between the wall and the gate side.We also like that you can keep the door open, if you want. Helpful if we are running up and down the stairs with multiple trips and no hands.

As a father of three crazy kids AND three dogs of varying heights, I’ve used a LOT of gates. I didn’t expect much out of this gate, as I thought “eh it’s just another gate” but let me outline to you the ways I was wrong, and a couple ways I was right:Pros:No sharp corners! Most other gates I’ve used have had sharper corners where the gate meets the lock, which is super annoying to hit with my arm. This gate has a tapered plastic edge that doesn’t catch, greatly appreciated.Auto close! I didn’t know how much I’d appreciate this, but I really do. The auto close feature also locks open when the gate is at full open, so that’s a nice bonus.Secure locking mechanism: this gate shuts with a nice THUD. It doesn’t open even when considerable force is applied, which makes for a very secure feeling.CONS:The height is a TINY bit shorter than my old gate, by about ~1 inch. If that inch matters to you, then it might be a big deal. I found it not to be missed given the other features this has that my previous gates do not.The auto close squeak! After about a week of heavy use and HIGH HUMIDITY the gate squeaks a little. I used some olive oil to quiet it down and so far so good. It seems that they need a better grease cap or something around the hinge to secure it better.Overall impressions: Its a well made gate with a lot of nice features, slightly shorter but overall secure and worth the money.

Dint bother buying any other brand, even keeps my Rottweiler and Doberman at bay but safety latch works flawlessly

I use this to block the hallway entrance into my kitchen to keep my dogs out. I use to use a regular baby that i had to keep climbing over but that got to be a pain. This gate is counter height so its perfect, I don't have to bend down to open it, the automatic shut option it has is great addition. it can be a bit loud when it closes but very easy to use.
