Physix Gear Compression Socks 20-30 mmHg - Men & Women - Running, Nurses, Shin Splints, Flight, Travel

I had an accident which tore my LCL and MDL. I avoided surgery and did rehab which left me able to walk but caused stage 4 osteoarthritis in my knee and lots of pain and swelling. The awkward movement caused stage 1 to develop in my other knee and the avoidance of pain caused weight gain due to the lack of mobility. My job requires tons of walking and standing for long hours. A couple of days ago, I could barely take the pain when I got home, even with the meloxicam they have me on and my legs would swell to the point that I could not see my ankle bones at the end of a shift. I resolved to find a pair of compression socks that would give me some support. I have knee sleeves for when I'm at home but I can't wear them at work because they catch on my pants. I looked at many compression socks and found that the cheap ones only come in two sizes. I didn't want to try these because my calves were larger than what the cheap ones were made for and frankly, I couldn't afford to play around with poor sizing due to the pain I was going through. The reviews for these Physix were great and so I measured my calves and bought the suggested size and had them shipped overnight. The next morning they were waiting for me at the door. I was very happy to see that while they give great arch support, they leave comfortable wiggle room for your toes. I have a size 11.5 wide foot and the socks are cushioned like sport socks but give great arch/ankle support. Rolling them up is the best way to get them on and the compression is gradual with more towards the bottom and lighter but very effective compression towards the top. At 6'2" these socks stop right under my knees. They do not slide down on their own through the day. They also don't roll down at the top. Best yet, they don't feel like they are trying to strangle your legs. During the day, you'll actually forget they're on. You'll only be aware of the massage effect while you walk and the deletion of pain from inflammation. Whatever they compress felt like when I wear my knee brace and helped tremendously with support even above the knee which was amazing. After my shift when I got home marked 12 hours of use. I slid them off and couldn't believe that not only were my ankle bones visible, so we're my metatarsals! My watch showed I did a 12k step day and I still had vigor! I immediately purchased 4 more pair to cover the entire week. Are they pricey? Yes. Do they work? A resounding yes! Do you get what you pay for? Absolutely! I have not had a day with so little pain and swelling in the six years since the accident but now I'm sure my quality of life will be far far better!

Had an issue with size and Physix replaced item for free with new size. Absolutely wonderful since I never even asked for a free pair but they went out of their way to help me. Also want to note that I have larger than normal calves from having a heavy build after working out heavily when I was younger. I ordered a size comfortable for my calves but the length wound up being an issue when I would work out it would cause the toes to bunch up extra material or it would collect around my ankles causing a loss of compression. As stated above I sent a message to the maker of this fine product and they in turn sent me a free pair of the next size down without having to return the first pair or pay any extra. The new pair are tight on the calves as I expected but in time Im sure the material will give enough to make up for it however the important part is the length is no longer an issue and the compression stays equal across my lower leg. I love the material they use as its very flexible and breathes really easy which makes working out or doing yard work in them a lot more comfortable then the prescription custom cut ones that I have. The compression is good enough to keep away the pain and worst I have is small lines wrapping around my leg from the compression bands they have in the material. They do not cut into my skin or cut off circulation or anything that one would expect from having a size slightly too small for calf width so again I have to say I am really pleased with this product and Physix. I highly recommend them if you want a more affordable compression stocking for general use or sports use. *So as update I have had the stockings for a few weeks now and I have upgraded to 5 star because as you wear the product it does get more comfortable with washings. The over sized one is still a bit loose and I would high recommend if you are like me to go with the length measurement more than any other dimension. The smaller ones I was sent for free as replacement by the company have now become very comfortable to wear. The material is not stretched but ACTUALLY did its job and helped shape my calf muscles down a bit to fit better in the stocking. * Again highly recommend and thank you Physix for the replacement, I will be buying more pairs in the future.

I must admit, I didn't purchase these for "active wear", for which many seem to purchase them. I work in surgery, and am standing in place for 5-6 hours at a time. Needless to say, my legs LOOK like I stand all day, with spider veins, varicosities, and venostasis. As such, compression stockings are essential. I have always purchased the more expensive "medical grade" variety on line, that are effective, but not attractive...and are super challenging to put on and take off. Enter these awesome stockings. I have been wearing them only a few days, but I loved them enough to buy a few more pairs. At the end of each day, my legs have felt great after spending all day in surgery...and not only that, they even look better, with much less swelling and bulging of varicosed veins. Here's what I like... -They don't fall or roll down. -They are relatively effortless to put on. -The top elastic is broad and doesn't pinch or bind. -They apply uniform pressure along the length of the stocking. -They actually look reasonably sharp, and the color variety is nice to keep paired stockings mated. -They fit as advertised. I am a big guy 6'2", and my calves are 21", so I have a hard time fitting for my calves. I got the XXL, and they fit and squeeze perfectly. The length is perfect, coming up to just under my knee. As for things I don't like, there really isn't anything, except perhaps I question the actual 20-30 mmHg of compression that is advertised. I would estimate closer to 20, but that is not a deal-breaker. Since I've only had them for several days, I can't speak to durability, so fingers crossed. At least at this price point under $20, I will be happy to get six months of daily, 10 hour wear.

This truly might be my most prized possession in the 20 years of using my purchasing power in exchange for my time and labor. These compression socks are freaking unreal- the tightness is evident yet - it feels like you're home lol. I've never owned socks like these and literally since I put these on - I haven't taken them off! (Besides for washings -but I make sure they are back on my legs within the hour!) I have no idea how these magical socks work but unlike cotton socks they don't get dirty at the bottom - even though I have the beige pair that matches my skin tone. They don't stink, they don't pill, they don't wear, its as if im wearing form fitting durable boots without actually having to wear boots. What the heck am I wearing? It's almost sci fi. I've worked at an office job for 9 years so perhaps I have been long overdue for this form of therapeutic treatment on my feet and legs but I am obsessed! I sleep in these, do errands, work in them, work out in them, walk in them, dance in them. You get the idea. I bought these for some varicose veins I noticed on my legs...even though those veins haven't changed I definitely feel less swelling, less of that tingly falling asleep feeling in my legs, less aches, less numbness, I've seen reviews on these socks that they weren't 'tight' enough to be considered compression socks. I haven't experimented with different brands to be able to critique its fit but they always are skin tight with a evident but tolerable squeeze effect that when off my body actually craves- its so freaking bizarre. What's even more bizarre- is come laundry day- I don't have 25 single socks to wash and roll up and put in the dresser. This one pair literally replaces the whole need for daily disposable socks. That alone is insane. TRY THESE!!!

Great fit nice design

The Physix Gear Compression Socks (20–30 mmHg) feel well made and provide strong compression. The material seems durable and supportive, and I can see how they would help with circulation, running, or long shifts. Unfortunately, they didn’t work out for me and I ended up returning them. The compression was stronger than expected and the fit just wasn’t comfortable for my needs. That said, if you’re specifically looking for firm medical-grade compression, these may be a good option. Just be aware they are quite tight.

Got these solely to fly longhaul and it was definitely worth the investment. They 100% worked. No swelling despite my friends all saying they had some level of swelling after a 14h flight. Don't know if I'd bother if the flight was, like, less than 8h. Just get up every few hours. But for something SUPER long, it's definitely worth the peace of mind! They're lightweight so they won't add bulk to your luggage. You can stuff them into a small pocket when you take them off. I definitely recommend taking them off after your longest flight just to give your feet a break. I like the different color options, and tbh I'm sure a lot of men wouldn't wear a sock with a flower on it, but I found it fine. No one's going to really care if your sock has a flower on it, so I just picked what was cheaper. Compared to a fitted compression sock they're super easy to put on, and obviously that means they don't "squeeze" as hard as a real one. They stretch out so you can pull them on super easily, so I can't imagine they "work" as well as advertised / match the compression ratio shown. There's no grippy part on it at all so they can be fairly slippery. I wore them with shoes primarily so I didn't experience this much, but it can be annoying if you're on like a hardwood floor or something. Wearing them around the house doesn't seem to be a super good idea. The only downside I have is that they're way too big. They're advertised as knee height, but I can pull it all the way up to my thigh. I ended up folding them over a pretty significant amount, which you aren't "supposed" to do-- but because these are super light and stretchy it didn't do anything "bad" for me. I wouldn't "recommend" it cause it can be dangerous, but try it for a few hours if you don't want to pull them up to your thighs and make sure there are no adverse effects. if nothing is "wrong" after like 4-5h of wearing them around the house or out during a shopping trip then they're good to go.

Buenos en general, no se aflojan con las lavadas, sólo hay que tener cuidado con la talla, porque vienen un tanto más holgados que el promedo. El grosor del tejido es un punto a considerar si te molestan los calcetines "gruesos", pero también, por lo general las opciones más delgadas que sí comprimen son mucho más caras.

I needed prescription compression socks during the covid-19 and unfortunately that couldn't be done. I had to find an alternative in the meantime and this item, saved the day! They are absolutely comfortable and breathable. A little loose on my toes but everything else is snug. Thank you!

Good compression socks but not a good fit for those with big calves. Plus size calves of 50cm and above can't use this. Will be too tight and painful 😣
