I bought a second one to replace my first one, which broke after a few years.

Case strikes a great balance between slimness, sturdiness, and durability. Also, I love the range of patterns you can choose from, and that they are slightly raised to give a nice texture to the back of the phone, aiding in grip.

I love everything about my new Smartish phone cover and the company itself! I was desperate to find a new cover for my iPhone 8+. After a lot of looking I found Smartish, which also sells covers for other older phones. The whole point of using a cover is to protect the phone in case it slips out of my hand. This cover will likely NEVER slip out of my hand, due to the texturing on the sides. It's also a slim and strong material, so it takes up very little extra space in my pocket or bag. I couldn't be happier. And no, I got no perks for this gushing review. Just surprised I hadn't heard of this company before Lifetime warranty, good selection.

Wish it was thicker and more durable

This looks like an excellent case, and I think it will fit my needs very well. Since the iPhone 7 plus is rather large, and I carry it in my front pocket, a maximum protection, clam shell type case is just too big when all is said and done. I used a case very similar to this from another manufacturer for 3 years with my iPhone 6 plus, and it worked great, but they changed what worked, and after a couple hours of wading through reviews, I decided to try this one.My criteria was that I wanted it to add as little bulk as possible while adding protection to the edges and corners likely to suffer when I do drop the phone. I wanted the edges to have some grip, but I didn't want it to get stuck going into or out of my pocket. I also wanted the edges to be raised so that if I put the phone face down, it was not sliding on the glass. I wanted it made out of material that seems like it will last the three years I try to get out of my phones, and I didn't want to pay a whole lot for this basic protection made out of plastic in quantities of millions.Upon receiving this case, I can happily say that it certainly meets my criteria for fit, finish, price, and design. Not wanting to wait for three years to comment on the durability, I'll have to guess here, but it looks like it'll make the long haul, and with the lifetime warranty, I'm not going to worry about that. I'm going to hold off dropping the phone as long as I can, so I can't comment on the protection of the sides/corners, but comparing it to the last case I used, it seems like it will do that job too. It fits the phone nice and tight, and provides the elevation protection to the face glass when on a hard surface. I didn't use the included glass protector, as i don't like them since i can never get all of the air bubbles out of them.Thank you to the many people before me who too the time to review this case. This case has become my go to case. I have had quite a lot of phone cases through the years, and currently have several for my iphone 7 plus. This case is a perfect everyday case. Here is what makes the case great. It's thin, yet protective. The case will protect from an average fall. I'm fortunate in that I don't drop my phone a lot, but if it were to drop I feel it provides some protection. Now mind you it's not going to be as protective as rugged armor like case, but with those comes bulk. The case has a slight texture to it that provides for a solid grip. It's not overwhelming, but just the right amount to help you hold onto the phone. The case also doesn't leave finger prints, so the phone is very sleek and clean looking. For me I like to enjoy the original design of the iphone as much as possible, but have never felt comfortable going without a case because of natural "oopses" that happen. This case is exactly what the company Silk is about...simplicity. I also own two of their Vault slim wallet cases, and again they serve the purpose of carrying cards, yet keep it simple. Another nice thing about this case is that it's only about $10. For that price you're getting a lot of case. It comes with a screen protector. I have a tempered glass on mine already, and the case works fine with it. The cut outs are precise and clean. I use a metal insert inside the case to mount it to a magnet mount in my car, and again it works perfectly. As I have been carrying this case around I keep noticing that I just really like this case, so I thought I would share. Give it a shot. Amazon is great about returns, but for $10 you really won't regret it. That's the price of two Grande coffee beverages at your local coffee house. Not a bad investment if you ask me.

I don’t often write reviews on products. I am pleasantly surprised with my Smartish case. Seems like a great value, nice fit and feels durable. Initially found my way to this option through wirecutter.com and glad for it!

Case is exactly as described and seems to be a good fit, functional and robust. The issue being that the 'free screen protector' is not included within the box and you have to complete an online form to receive it. That in itself is no problem until you get to the bottom of the page and it advises you that it is ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE US! I must admit to being more than a bit frustrated at the misleading description. I purchased the 'package' based on the review of the case and the fact that it came with a screen protector (free or otherwise, it is advertised as a package) and then to find that it is only partly accurate is a real annoyance. I now need to buy a separate screen protector and had I known that upfront I would likely have made a different purchase.

My kid has dropped my phone several times with this case from our extra high table onto a tile floor, and my glass backed iPhone 8 is still just fine. I’d say this case is excellent for everyday drops and accidents.
