Great Rig, Especially Given the Shortage of RTX 3000 Series GPUs - HONEST REVIEW
After months of praying to get lucky and failing to nab a RTX 3000 series GPU, I finally gave up and decided to go with a prebuilt PC. I have built my own in the past, so I was a bit uneasy with taking this route. The package arrived in great shape and labeled with the parts that I intended to purchase, including a RTX 3070 GPU. While it was not the best brand/manufacturer, in my opinion (Gigabyte), it seems to be running as advertised. When I first fired up the system, I did run into your standard “new PC” issues, up to and including the computer resetting when I tried to boot up Apex Legends (not a terribly high end game, graphically). At first, I was frustrated, but there is always some initial troubleshooting when you build a PC. After investigating drivers and other updates, I was still having issues. As of this morning, one of my last ditch efforts was to check my BIOS version. Surprisingly, a new update released on 3/5/2021, so I Googled how to update BIOS and had it installed in minutes. Ever since the BIOS was updated, everything has been working amazingly. I immediately fired up some high end games and they ran as smoothly as I could hope for. No more crashing! Also - I see a lot of other reviews complaining about the fan noise. When I updated the BIOS, the fan noise almost completely disappeared. I believe the update may have reset to default settings and I’m not sure if SkyTech adjusted them before shipping the PC to me, so I will be monitoring my PC temperatures to make sure that they do not need to be dialed up to keep the PC from overheating.Overall, and thus far, I’m incredibly happy with my purchase. For people that are less familiar with PC settings, BIOS, drivers, etc., do not be discouraged if you run into a few bumps after your initial boot-up. I’m certainly not a PC genius, so take your time and investigate any problems that you’re experiencing before jumping to conclusions. SkyTech’s website has a great FAQ as a starting point for reference.Overall, I would give the product a 4.8 if I could, just based on the hassle described above. Otherwise, I’m looking forward to playing the PC exclusives that I haven’t had access to in over 10 years!!!

Came with a bad graphics card
I bought this for my husband as a Father’s Day gift. I was so excited for him to get it and get it all set up for him. I even purchased a brand new viewsonic elite 27 inch gaming monitor to go with it. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed to find that the pc came with a bad graphics card. It displayed the lines and dots you see in the photos on the monitor. I tried multiple cords both hdmi and display port cords that were all more than capable of 4K output and I tried different monitors as well. It was definitely a bad graphics card. I was pretty pissed. That’s a lot of money to pay for something that was assembled with defective parts. There was even paperwork included with the pc that was dated and signed by one of their techs claiming the pc was fully inspected and guaranteed to be fully functional and that everything was up to par, smh. I read so many reviews before I actually purchased this. I saw reviews from other ppl who got this pc from sky tech with bad graphics cards but I really thought there would be no way I’d get that unlucky. I really believed I’d get an operational pc. Jokes on me. I don’t trust skytech or the quality of the products they are selling.

System builder in need of box of parts
So confession time. When I purchased this PC, I had no intention of using it as it came. Due to the lack of availability of graphics components, it had come down to getting the box of parts that had the most parts I was going to actually use. So I was looking for a Ryzen 5600x, a RTX 3070, at least 16gb of ram and a tb SSD. Anything else usable was a bonus. And while I did get the parts I was looking for, I do have to comment that I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the build and attention to detail. Aside from a few sticking points that I will get to.So first things first. If you have been looking at this system, I'm sure you know there's not a lot info regarding what kind of parts you're actually getting. In my system, some of the components,GPU: Gigabyte RTX Vision 8gb (white version)SSD: WD Blue 1 tb gen3 m.2Mobo: ASRock itx b550 wifiMem: xfx 3600mhz (no rgb)Fans: 4 InWin Jupiter and includes controllerSo a lot of really solid components, and for taking a gamble on ordering I'm very happy with what I was able to get out of it.Cable management was surprisingly tight and well done. Most of what could be done behind the mobo tray was, although the fan controller was left on the front which would not be my preference. The system was shipped in good condition, included padding inside the system to protect the components which I really appreciated. My biggest issues with the system as shipped. The case is not the greatest thing ever. This may be personal preference, but I hate the shroud at the top of the case. If for no other reason that it's easier to reach the GPU for power from the bottom. Airflow is just ok, I'm not a fan (ha) of having thr intake come from the side instead of the front. There's no room to breath from the front panel, and the top of the system is blocked off by the power supply shroud, so the only real exhaust you get is from the one fan in the back.Speaking of fans, the system just comes with the AMD stock cooler. It runs fine, but for the price you should really be able to expect an AIO.The biggest issue I had with the stock system is the power supply. It comes with a 650 watt non 80plus, non modular pos. Basically garbage that I'm probably not going to be able to reuse anywhere else.So honestly, if I was buying this off the rack to use as is, I would like be pretty happy. Order took about a week to show up. Testing it out, it ran fast out of the box, most of the software setup was done already and I was gaming within a few minutes of having it plugged in. There was minimal bloatware, some desktop links to support, but that was about it. RGB software was pre-installed and ready to go at start up.Overall, I'm happy with what I got out of this system even if it was more a box of components than anything else. Taking a chance that those parts would be good quality worked out for me.. Everything is working great in their new box, and I'm looking to part out the rest (anyone looking for an itx ASRock b550?). I hope this review helps anyone else looking to go SI for their new build, the world is tough for builders right now.

Was excited, but..
Upon receiving the PC, I was so excited to run it and play some games, but that wasn’t the case. Upon firing it up for the first time, the computer was underperforming incredibly, to the point where even opening up the settings menu took 15-30 seconds. Dragging the mouse to relocate desktop apps stuttered and lagged like crazy. I couldn’t do or run anything. One great thing however is skytech’s custner support is superb. I was linked up with a tech quickly, where they attempted to fix it by remote connection, but sadly couldn’t. Even through about 1 week of constant email communication and trying different things, from updating my bios, cpu and gpu drivers, and reinstalling windows multiple times with a fresh restart, nothing was fixed. I even bought an AIO Cooler thinking the cpu was throttling and overheating, but that didn’t fix it either. At the end of the day, I just returned the pc due to frustration. I’m left with mixed feelings, as other customers rate this product highly. I have no idea what could have caused this, whether it’s my error or the manufacturer. I’m not completely going to slam sky tech, as they did try their absolute best to assist me with my issues and even extended my warranty for another year, so if you purchase, feel free, but approach with caution

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!
I bought the Ryzen 5 5600X / RTX 3070 version of this computer. On arrival I was excited to get a good PC. Unfortunately, it arrived with a BAD GPU which was simply annoying. Aside from the GPU being BAD the first computer was decent had a B550 Motherboard a lot of room for improvement which is a reason people like to buy prebuilds. I then asked for a replacement computer to be able to actually use the computer I paid for.. Now the replacement was not even in the same league as the original.. went from having a radiator to water cool my GPU to this big clunky Fan.. the motherboard was old enough to have PS/2 Ports (Green/Purple Mouse/Keyboard Connection).. which to me is crazy in 2022, because we generally only have USB Mice now. The computer even came with a USB mouse so I do not understand. The second computer came with a Geforce RTX EAGLE GPU which is built for older and smaller motherboards.. I am baffled that both of these computers are being sold at the same price. Also level of RGB in both computers are on different levels. The 2nd computer pretty much had some RGB fans put in it which is nothing great. Overall avoid buying this.. you might get lucky, but regardless of price this computer is not worth the trouble. I tried to play WoW which I play on a Laptop with a 980m.. it runs worst on this PC.. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPUTER AT ALL.. I will buy elsewhere or build my own.. this is not worth your trouble..
