Excellent addition for your smart home
This product is an exceptional addition to the smart home.I was so excited to get the POP based on what I read it could do. We have a full array of Sonos devices in our house as well as August locks and Lutron Caseta lights. We also use the excellent Logitech Hubs for our remote controls.I purchased a starter kit and 2 additional pops. Here is how I am using them.Kitchen - POP button 1:1. Play/Pause Sonos with Apple Music2. Play/Pause Sonos with Spotify Top Hits3. Play/Pause Sonos with NPRKitchen - POP button 2:1. Turn off Sonos, and Turn on TV2. Unused3. Turn off TVBedroom - POP button:1. Play/Pause Sonos with NPR2. Play/Pause Sonos with Spotify Top Hits3. Turn off Sonos and Bedroom LightsSetupSuper easy. Plug in hub, set up app, and add POP devices. In the app you discover all your local devices (Sonos) and then cloud authorize Harmony, Lutron and August. Each POP comes with that cool double sticky stuff that is removable and re-usable.ProgrammingYou just drags and drop, chose options for each device (such as toggle or on/off) and you can also add multiple devices per commandEach button has 3 commands (single click, double click, long press)ShortcomingsSonos - updated on 10/21 - fixedYou cannot group speakers together. No sonos interface can do this except Sonos for some reason. Also, if you make changes to your Sonos playlists (which is how you select items to play) it doesn't seem to refresh without re-discovering.You can't easily control volume. You can't skip songs.Harmony - updated on 10/21 - fixedIf you have two Harmony hubs in your house (for 2 TVs) you have to pick one to use. You cannot seemingly pair two different buttons to different Hubs. It's one hub per account.Update: the latest POP update supports Sonos Grouping and multiple harmony hubs. Great job Logitech!

Simplify Your Smart Home
These are great little devices for smart home automation. Easy to setup, simple to use. After testing a first set out, I ordered a total of about 10.Upsides:* Very simple to setup and install. Literally out of the box and working within about 60 seconds, with almost no technical know-how required.* Very easy for non-tech people to use.* Multiple functions per button - for 1 click, 2 clicks and long-click. I usually set this up to be dim, normal, and bright light. But you could also have the different presses turn on different lights, set different colors, turn on music, etc.* Easy to put on the wall (sticky tape included)* Easy to remove from the wall (without leaving sticky behind)* Easy to reapply to wall (sticky tape does a decent job of retaining stickiness - not perfect, but pretty good)* Combines well with other smart devices - I use mine with Lifx lights, Wemo switches, d-link alarms, and to send text messages (using IFTTT)Downsides:* So far, one of mine seems to have come with a deficient battery - so within a month I'm already replacing a battery. Minus one star for that. Hopefully it's not an ongoing issue. If it is, I'll report back on that later.* A few of them have had trouble staying stuck to the wall. I've resolved it by placing these just above an existing switch - I assume resting it on top of the existing switch takes enough pressure off that they stay stuck a little better). Be sure to clean walls and let them try before sticking. And if they come unstuck, then follow the instructions to clean them off before reapplying. It would be nice of Logitech included an extra sticky for each one, in case you need to start over.* When you have a lot of home devices like I do, the app makes it somewhat painful to scroll through them all and add devices to a button. But this is done relatively rarely, so not a huge problem.* It would be nice to have more functionality. I've had to combine this with IFTTT to get all the functionality I need - and even then it can't always do everything I like.* They look okay, but my wife doesn't like them in some rooms. Perfect world, what I'd really like to do is to replace my regular light switches - in their original sockets - with devices like this. This would not only take care of the aesthetics, but would also eliminate the need for a combination of Wifi switches, standard wired switches, and these devices - plus they wouldn't require batteries.* The require a bridge to work (another device that plugs in). Not a huge deal since it just plugs directly into a standard socket - but it just seems like this shouldn't be necessary.* Plan your smart home carefully. You can easily make it "cool" but very confusing for non-technical people in the household! You could also effectively make it impossible to control your lights in the event that your home network goes down! Or youc can over-complicate things by using too many different products from different vendors! (Yes, I learned most of these lessons the hard way!)

Great product. Simplifies simple tasks, rather than overwhelming you with excessive functions. Will buy more.
I love these things. They are easy to set up and do exactly what I want...they perform basic, simple functions. I use my voice commands on other things to do more detailed requests or IFTTT setups...but these Pop buttons do exactly what I wanted them to do. The three options for each Pop are plenty for what I need.I have one in between my wife and me on the bed headboard to control lights at night. Having the ability to place them anywhere is the entire benefit of these. The added option of three ways to click each Pop is an added benefit in my mind.I also have them throughout the house. In the office, living room and so on. For the Apple people who use Apple "smart" home stuff and are having issues with the Pop's...if it doesn't work for you, maybe use that as another suggestion to convert to better smart home setup. Apple restricts the use of other devices so you stay in THEIR ecosystem. Don't blame Logitech or other companies for this, blame Apple. All that said, I do think these Pop's are overpriced. If they were half the cost I think Logitech would open up a much larger customer base.
