Ion Charged Minerals Nutramin Dog Supplement 2 lb Container

I am trying this because it came highly recommended by friends. I put it in the dog's water bowls and it makes it look like muddy water. The dogs love it. After all, the only thing better than wading in a mud puddle is drinking out of one!

I got this product for my dogs under recommendation from a vet. It would probably be a decent product except for the iron content. I also got some human quality(caplets) for me. The human forms iron content sez there is 196mg. or 1088% daily value in it! (Some web sites list 5mg per day as the upper limit for an adult male!) If the human capletform has that much, the canine form can't be far behind as they both come from the same place.My dogs started itching like crazy and I couldn't figure out why. I don't feed them (or me) crappy food. They get the best of care, etc. Something told me to check out the ingredient label and when I was researching the iron content for humans, I noticed it was way high and I figured the canine stuff wasn't any different. From doing research I figured out that it isn't good for a body to get that much iron every day. Several days later, after I backed off the dosage, my dogs stopped itching like crazy. Lord only knows whatever else internal was going nuts too from this product. All the other minerals in this would probably be o.k., but you need to be careful with that high iron content.One of the only ways to get rid of the bloods iron content is to bleed it out. So, if you are a female still going through menstration, you might could get away with this for a while, but for males I can only say caveat emptor(buyer beware). If you have this product, I would NOT suggest taking it every day. There is even an iron warning on the human label, but I couldn't find one on the canine pet label.My summary is to do your research. There are lots of sites to read up on this, especially the one on Office of Dietary Supplements...[...] if that doesn't work, just use up to .gov .You shouldn't need that much iron unless you are anemic, have a type of iron disease or other certain health problems.

Works like nobodies business! I can't believe how well it works on my pups gas, can't smell a thing when he used to clear a room!!! He gets it everyday for life!

we supplement our Dogs when they get ichy dry skin with these minerals in summertime , they get relief .

Nutramin was recommended by my Holistic Vet and his overall health and strength has improved. I just sprinkle it over his food and he loves it - thank you!

He has 50 years of experience and has been using calcium montmorillonite for 30 years. Feel like I am helping my puppy grow a stronger adult body by giving him the minerals, and help to protect him from bad stuff he might eat or get exposed to. Easy to use. Something I can do everyday. My puppy is fine with eating it.
