We went through 2 other leads before we came across this one and it has been great. A literal lifesaver since our yard isn't fully fenced and they will run off. Fast. And faster if you're chasing. A nice big tight harness and this lead and they are finally staying in the yard. It's still going strong months later with our 80 lb dogs pulling on it every day.

Upon opening the package, I was kicking myself for buying more than what I needed. It's a very sturdy and substantial piece of gear, more than is required for my well-fed yet gentle 6 year old Husky. The Upside; not expecting the need to purchase another for a while (sorry, Amazon) because the integrity of the larger diameter cable reduces the likelihood of the tie out getting snarled and kinked, causing the sheath to crack and expose the eventually fraying cable to my wife's delicate digits... and the reason that I needed another to begin with.Read the review that mentioned the snap unexpectedly becoming detached. I'm taking that into consideration after finding my dog in the neighbor's driveway, knowing full well that she was originally secured. Maybe I shouldn't have been so quick to blame my scorned, senior stalker(ess). Yet, it's a strong spring in a solid housing. Haven't really gotten to the bottom of it. Will update.As long as your dog is sturdy enough to not tire by dragging around a hefty cable, you can't go wrong.

I have a very rambunctious goldendoodle, his previous tie out he broke just from the sheer fact of how strong he is. This one has been holding up amazing and is definitely worth every penny! I don’t have fear of him getting off the tie out anymore!
