good quality
gift for my farrier working on my mini's. He really likes it. Says it makes his job easier when working on round bellied minis and ponies.

Works great for pig hooves
I ordered these nippers to trim my pigs' hooves because hoof rot shears were not strong enough. These work perfectly for what I need - they cut through thick overgrown pig hooves easily and smoothly, and are easy to use one-handed.

Makes hoof trimming easier
Well made and easy to handle for small hands. I have an arm injury and the spring action makes hoof trimming sooo much easier.

Dull
You better be strong. These nippers can’t even clip a tiny bit off a tiny horse hoof. DULL

Great for Mini Hooves!
I use these nippers for my mini horses, and as long as your mini’s hoof isn’t rock hard, you shouldn’t have any trouble cutting through. They’re small enough to fit my small hands, and most days I can use them one handed. The spring is perhaps the biggest game changer and cuts the farrier work time in half. Plus it’s easier on my hands now since my hands don’t fatigue as fast.Great for if you want to trim hooves yourself in-between farrier sessions but don’t want to spend a lot of money on professional tools.

Can't trim with just one hand.
I bought this because description said could trim with only one hand. Nope, can't do it. I am small with small hands and little strength in hands. The so called spring squeaks on the handle as it is squeezed together. This was the only nipper I could find with a spring. But it's the wrong kind of spring. It needs the spiraled type spring that's mounted on the handles by a weld. I would return, but now that Amazon is lying about it being "free return shipping" I don't know what I'm going to do. I guess I can never buy anything that has the potential of not working right, not fitting, etc. because of that $8 fee. Questionable items I'll have to look else where to purchase.
