Seems like a lot of the steering repair kits don’t include the “nut” looking thing. While it isn’t actually a nut, it is absolutely necessary to replace this when replacing the steering gear on the end of the steering shaft. Easy job, done in a half hour including deck removal, blade sharpening & deck re-install.

Found the product I needed for my mower fairly easy installation had me mowing right away. Good product and service.

Good replacement parts, make sure you double check your parts number...Package was as described and arrived on time. The only problem (and its my fault) is that I bought it by mainly focusing on the pinion part number (#717-1554) which was the right one for my model (White 62G). But the hex flange that comes with it is not the one I needed: This one is 1/4 inch thick (as written in the description), but my model requires 1/2 inch thick flange, so I had to find and buy an extra flange of the right thickness.The pinion fits and work perfectly, would've been even better if I've had pay more attention to details in the description. Lesson learned, double-check your parts number and read the specs carefully ;)

The item came on time, fit perfectly and I am back in business. Recommend this to anyone with the same issue.
