TRENDnet Gigabit Power Over Ethernet Plus Injector, Converts Non-Poe Gigabit To Poe+ Or PoE Gigabit, Supplies PoE (15.4W) Or PoE+ (30W) Power Network Distances Up To 100M (328 ft.), Black, TPE-115GI

Top !!

I like TRENDNet products. Generally they are reasonably priced and just work. I'm using this to power an outside bird nest box. Plug one network cable between the router and the injector, and then I have a 6m long ethernet cable going through the wall to outside plugged into what was a TRENDNet IP security camera, which I've retrofitted into a home made bird box. I've subsequently added an extension adaptor to move the box another 4m further away, and the power and quality of signal is unaffected.

Installing new Grand Stream Access Points required a PoE injector to connect this to my router and power it up. At the low end I found several $10-15 units that had dodgy reputations as per the reviews. At the high end were professional units of $300+. That may be OK for a company budget, but not for mine. The TRENDnet Gigabit PoE injector fit the bill nicely. It was less than $40 I believe, and has worked flawlessly.
