Oh so now we come to a full circle with some of Theodora Taylor other books left off. I'm so glad to finally read this book not only because this series is bomb! But also because this book connects with a different series book and it came in a circle.Now getting into the main characters let me just say that you really see how much each main character has grown over the years apart. Dawn is no longer that clumsy girl who didn't really stand up for herself like that. But now she's not taking anyone crap and she fighting her own battles. She very strong and even lets go of her pride, towards the end to try to get back with Victor.But Victor on the other hand really show his ass. He was such an dick at times, and then a caring person at others. There is a scene... actually quiet a few in this book that had me wanting to slap the hell out of him. It seems like all these males alphas in series really show out, and show out big, before they realize they really messed up. Its too the point that I hope, HOPE, Dawn gives him hell. And now that Amber is very much involve, its going to be even more hell he's going to get.I can say a lot change on my emotions concerning Dawn parents. We see a lot of her mother, and we see how sorry she is about a lot of things. I'm glad that they we're able to fix things, and we, as readers are able to see something new about her. Now the father, which I mention somewhat about in the 1st book, is still the same jerk as he was. I didn't exactly trust him to begin with and still didn't in this book. He basically used his daughter and put her at risk. Then have the nerve to not even be truly sorry about it.Over all I'm excited to read about the next book, and cannot wait to jump right in. This is a must read and will not disappoint you at all.

It's really, really good book and series. This is the second book in the series, and I could not put it down. You won't regret taking the time read them.

Per usual this was another great read by Theodora Taylor, but there are some issues that kept it from being five stars. It felt as if the misunderstanding was manufactured. Dawn had be pretty expressive for the entirety of the book. If it had been a gradual shift to her not expressing herself, it would have made sense for her to let Victor believe she and Asher actually had any solid plans of being together. But, they absolutely didn't, and she had no problems saying anything until the plot demanded it to force the final punishment from Victor. I don't enjoy the misunderstandings for misunderstandings sake trope. That's why I had to deduct a star.

Mrs. Taylor, you manage to take the worst men. And have us falling for them. I’m reading this book thinking all the murdery thoughts. All the ways I could make his body disappear and never be found. Because the disrespect is real. And then you give insight to the soul of the man and I’m ok maybe just stab him a little. And then a little more looking from the inside and your heart softens. These women have a level of resilience that is astonishing. It makes me wonder about how much we’ll put ourselves through for love. How many times we’ll turn or cheeks to give love a chance. This book is a page turner. Lots of sexy time. Victor is like I said you want to just end him. However Dawn is a boundless fount of positivity, continues to reach for her dreams despite her current role in life.

Ms. Taylor clearly knows how to tell a story and how to hold her reader's attention. The secrets and distrust continues for Dawn and Victor. Books one and two have clearly set the stage for the action and mayhem which is sure to come in book three. I hate that book two ended at a key moment, but I am sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the release of the conclusion next month. I know that it will be worth the wait. I have been captivated by the characters and the storyline and I cannot wait for what's to come. An awesome read.

When I first saw that this story would be broken into 3 parts, I was a little annoyed. The first book was 5 stars and excellent (as always), but I couldn't understand why I needed to wait for the 2nd part. Well that's what I get for questioning the genius of Theodora! The 2nd book took me through some things! It was a roller-coaster in the best way! I was so invested in this couple. I need a break before I dive into part 3! I love the nods to characters and events from Ms Taylor's previous books. It made me appreciate the thought and care she puts into each one. I loved it and can't wait to see what's in store for Victor and Dawn.

Theodora, how could you get me hooked to this book and characters and make us wait a month to the next release? Haven’t we suffered enough during the pandemic? Cliffhanger much?! Come on, don"t make me start writing fan fiction. I have way too much to do already. Release books 3-5 early. Pretty please, with sprinkles on top?! For those looking for a review - Fun Read. This book has lots of twists and turns. As a reader you wonder: Will the main characters ever get it together? You wonder if you want them too? There are not a lot of "moraled" characters in the book. Those that are tend to become the pawns of others. Will people who followed the destinies, set out for them be able to create and follow their own true destiny? How much would you go through for love?

Oooh let me tell you this book will have you speed reading, cause you will want to know what's happening or what's going to happen next. Dawn has herself in one peculiar predicament that she can't find a way out of. Victor has Dawn right where he wants her and he is making the most of it. It was really interesting to how much further both Dawn and Victor matured and grew since the last time we saw them in book 1. In a way it was good for Dawn with her current situation in the beginning because it forced her to live life by her terms in a way and not by other people's expectations. There was definite growth with both of them which was fascinating to see. It was really great to also see some other favourite characters from other Theodora books. You'll definitely not want to miss getting to know more about the continuation of Dawn and Victor's story. You will not be disappointed, highly recommended!!!

Theodora Theodora Theodora you just became my favorite. I usually hate reading trilogies too long too boring, but here I stand corrected. Can't wait for next one May 6th is so far. If you have to follow just few writers make sure she's your top 3. The first book, I thought was too childish because the characters were so young, but it's just amazing how you're going up with them.Won't spoil anything read it!!!!

This story goes from bad to worse when victor continues his hate campaign against dawn. She thinks he's letting her get away with a separate life apart from their anniversary, which confuses and both of them in different ways. You really hope they can salvage their twisted relationship but it seems victor can't let the past die and he could end up losing her forever. Amazing story.

Love everything about this one. So glad I got to see mentions of other couples from other books. But I'm most happy to finally get the conclusion to Dawn's book from Amber/ Luca's book. Yayy.
