Great Value Speakers
Installed in an '01 Grand Prix. Required enlarging some screw holes, but not by much and drilling was easy. Connection to the car's wiring was a slight challenge (determining correct polarity meant an internet search for radio wiring color code. . .). Biggest issue was physically getting to the speakers (which wasn't any fault of these speakers).Sound great at a superb price. HEAVY magnet, nice cone suspension; well-made speakers. Not super-high output, but, if you're looking for good sound at a great price, you can't beat these.

Bad low freqeuncy sound.
Lots of distortion when playing Lumineers. Ran a 60hz sine wave into front aux of my JVC head unit and hooked up scope to speaker contacts. Observed a clean 1.6Vpp sine wave while I could hear horrible distortion from speaker. I see no physical damage to woofer. They just make bad sounds at anything under 100hz. Only fix is to gain down the low frequencies using the head unit equalizer which ruins the Lumineers songs. Bummer.

Sounded great for a week
Sounded great for a week, then one started making crackling sounds at high volume. Its slightly blown. Was gonna ship back but I had already got rid of the original packaging and it would cost 19 for UPS to ship back. Bought them for 32 would, would cost me like 26 to ship back. So I decided to keep them for the mids/trebles since I have a huge sub-whoofer. I put cushion in the cone to stop the buzzin on the lows. I should have gone with Sony for a little more.

Not bad for the money
These speakers handle tons of power and crank! However don't expect to be awed by the sound quality. The highs are strong but not very crisp. The midrange can be harsh and has to be cut down on eq but produces vocals well. The bass is ok at best. I have a set of planet audio 6x9 that cost a little more but have better bass and smoother sound. these are a good value for the money. If you want good output per watt and just to crank your music, put these in. If you simply want great sound quality you may be disappointed, these are good at best. I have them running with a sub and they do better teamed with one than on there own.

Bought them and their blown
Extremely upset that I spent 40 bucks on these speakers and when i put them in they were blown. I bought these and the pyle blue label 5.25(love the pyle they are great). I wasn't expecting incredible speakers for the price but I dang sure wasn't hoping for blown speakers neither. Worst part is I have to take them out and it was a huge hassle to install them in my Cobalt(why they make it so hard to install the rear speakers is beyond me). I'm going to send them back and don't want another pair. I will spend the extra $20-30 dollars to ensure that I get quality. Huge disappointment.

Standout speaker on a budget!
I purchased this set of speakers for a cheap daily driver that had oem speakers all around. I wanted to keep it cheap, but I wanted to get as much bang as I could for the buck. Looking at the specifications I was mostly impressed by the materials used in the speaker's construction. They claim 700w max and that has to be totally false, but I am very happy with how they sound running off of an old school Pioneer 1.5 din deck.Bass reproduction is pretty solid, I've got the crossover set at 50Hz, so they aren't seeing notes as low as they claim to reproduce. One I get the cheap front speakers installed I will edit this review and reflect on how they sound with some more volume and a wider range of frequencies. What I can undeniably say at this point is that I am very impressed with the speaker for the price paid. Updates forthcoming.

Good speaker, great price
Sounds great compared to the old Pioneer paper cone stock speakers in my 97 Accord commuter car. Nothing against Pioner, but 15 year old speakers of any brand aren't gonna sound good! For the $ I'd recommend them to anyone. Definitely not going to win any competitions but again, for what you pay for these would you expect it? Holes for install didn't quite line up with the stock mounts in the car, but a little Dremel action and they went right in. Great stuff! I also bought a pair of 6.5's to go in the front doors and all together I've been very impressed even with no amps, just the deck output. Sound great, great price, you won't be sorry.

nice speakers for the money
Heavy magnets, nice speakers for the money. Bass is not very deep, but highs are lively. You have to wait for the break-in period to assess the sound quality.Con: The wires are not good for decent speakers. They have 4 or 5 strands of wires, thinner than human hair. Would not give you decent sound, especially bass. Since these speakers are for replacement, one can splice a short piece of thicker wire to the original wire and make decent connections. One should watch out for the weight of the speakers while mounting up in the trunk, it can pull out when the car bounces around.
