Mighty Bright 60432 XtraFlex LED Craft Light, Silver

I'm not a connoisseur of book lights (heck, I even had trouble spelling the word), but I have used a lot and have learned the good and bad.This is a surprisingly excellent light, especially for the price.I wanted a battery-powered light (I learned that a cord just gets annoying), and I wanted one with an LED instead of a traditional light bulb (they last forever and use hardly any power).I also learned that book lights with hinges have a few problems: the hinges wear out and get loose, and positioning them is limited.The flexible shaft on this light means you can position it any way you like -- it's great. The light is just right: Bright enough to light even a large hardcover, but focused enough not to disturb the wife next to me. The light is soft and even, and it's easy to position.Oh, and I've used it on one set of batteries for a couple of weeks know, a couple of hours a night, and it's still going strong.I chose this light after using others and reading reviews of others, and I definitely made the right choice.

The light will need to be pretty close to your cross stitch if that is what you are using it for. I haven't used this for a larger project yet, but for my smaller one it isn't ideal since I can't clip it to the cross stitch and I had to find a way to clip it pretty close to the cross stitch for the light to be useful.

I use this light for cross stitching and it has changed my life!! Makes it so much easier when the sun is going down and I don't have the natural light. Now i can continue as late as i want. I really have no complaints. It clips well, it's sturdy and it's bright and works exactly like I was hoping. I imagine if it works for this it would work amazingly for books as well.

Great little light! I do cross stitching on the 28-32 count linen cloth so I need a bright light to see where the heck I'm going with the needle. It's very bright and light weight. I clip it onto the rim of my embroidery hoop and I'm good to go. It fits in my little embroidery kit so it goes with me where ever I go. Very nice light, I really recommend it!

The spring clasp is real strong and made to last. The light output is sufficient and has a good pattern.It is easy to aim and feels durable...like it won't sag or droop eventually.The vendor shipped fast and charged the true cost of shipping.It's perfect for my Kindle and, since the base allows it to stand by itself..no need to clip it to anything..I use it for other tasks on my desk when I need to.I am very satisfied.

I am able to read for a longer period of time since purchasing ths book light. I especially liked (and NEEDED) it when we happened to lose our power during a winter storm, no tv,radio,computer etc., just books:) The light it puts out is soft and easy on the eyes. Very nice product.

I'm pretty happy with this light. The led light is bright enough to cover a decent sized page, but not so bright that it will keep anyone else awake if they are trying to sleep. Probably more ideal for hard cover books, but currently using it to read a soft cover and it functions quite well. I'd recommend it.

Vale cada euro que cuesta. Soy músico y la uso en mi atril de calle para poder ver las partituras cuando procesionamos por calles oscuras. Con esta linterna se ve prácticamente igual que si te alumbrases con un flexo, alumbra toda la partitura por igual y apenas pesa. Si eres músico y estas buscando una buena linterna para tu atril de calle, ni te lo pienses ;)

The only thing I dislike is having a star rating to tick for sheerness and thickness - what does that mean? Anyhow this little light clamps easily to a thick table top. The light is quite focused but it really is for fine close work such as craft jobs or small precision repairs because it illuminates a small area that you are working on and that's why I bought it. One word of warning that I endorse the pamphlet that comes with it, never look into the lamp directly as it's ferociously bright and can damage your eyes. But taking care with it then it's a really good value lamp and does a great job.

I absolutely LOVE this little light.I do a lot of crafts and have recently got into cross stitch and embroidery, but sadly I also have the eyesight of a mole with sunglasses on, so I was struggling to both stitch accurately and read the tiny symbols on each pattern. Well, not anymore!This light may be tiny, but it shines like a police helicopter search light in the dead of the night. I no longer feel like my eyes are going to burst out on stalks when concentrating on detailed work. My sewing efforts no longer resemble those of a preschooler. I even remarked sagely to my 7 year old son, 'this little piece of kit is a complete game changer'. ('What's a game changer Mummy?').I've noticed that other reviewers feel the light is too small, however it is designed to fit on an embroidery hoop or book or similar, so it's not like you want something heavy giving you a dead arm after five minutes. This is one instance where size really doesn't matter.All in all, a 5 star product for me.***I try to be as candid as possible in my reviews, which I'm sure you will gather. This was a lot smaller than it looked in the picture. It's a nice light but just wasn't bright enough for craft work. Will use it for reading though as is a good light.

I didn't find the lighting on this product effective at all. It was very dull and I had to switch back to my old book Mighty Bright light which was a better light quality. I was also disappointed that it took so many batteries to operate. Three batteries seems excessive for a small LED light.My greatest disappointment was with the seller, America Buys. I tried to return the item and was going to buy another Mighty Bright because I generally like the product, but the seller refused to take it back. I had opened the product to try it, found it inefficient and replaced the product back in the package in perfect condition yet because it was opened they refused to take it back. Even the manufacturer stated their disappointment with the seller and advised that the seller should work with me though they again refused.
