S.T. Dupont Jet 8 Ballpoint Pen - Yellow/Chrome

When the Jet 8 arrived in a vivid orange colour I was very disappointed. It felt quite lightweight and a bit cheap to be honest. The design could be classed as "50 's retro rocket style", possibly a bit camp. But on use I have got to really like it. Ultra smooth writing with the special size refill and perfectly weighted. Now impressed with this Chinese made Dupont and actually love using it. I do think the price is rather steep though.NB. The reference to its place of manufacture being "China" is in a tiny engraving on the side of the clip. I stlll rate this pen very highly 3 years.

The push mechanism of the pen is poorly designed and made. The push mechanism is pretty hard as well. The pull mechanism for refill replacement also does not seems to be reliable in long term.

The pen has excellent weightage, In a never before seen shape, it is an elongated rectangle. Very comfortable to hold, with excellent translucent yellow. With a very tiny small print "made in china", which does not deter from the fact that this has Chinese Lacquer, very exquisite process and material.The ink flows nicely, super smooth for a ballpoint, it is nearly a rollerball but it is not, a masterful engineering effort from St Dupont.

Très déçu par ce stylo pas en metal mais en résine. La partie couleur chrome et en résine hypoxy et le stylo est très leger..trop léger. ...coffret en plastique blanc qui a fait des pluches sur le stylo....!!!
