UNCN Wide Microwave Heating Pad with Washable Cover 9.5 x 16in Microwavable

I was nervous about ordering this because of some of the reviews stating that the pad caught fire in the microwave. Fortunately, this has not been a problem! It heats up in 90 seconds to two minutes without any burning, and it is plenty warm enough at that amount of time. It is also very nicely made, heavy, with plenty of seed filling, no smell, soft cover and includes a washable pillow case like removable cover to keep it clean. I've had it for about a week now and have seen no filling leaking out and the size is adequate for most uses. These pads do help with muscle soreness, stomach aches and that type of pain, without having to worry about plugging in to an outlet. I highly recommend this product.

This is a perfect size and works well. Easy to warm up in the microwave and stays warm for a good while. I can use it on my lower back and my shoulder/neck area. Glad I bought it!!

My only issue with this is the smell. It smells strongly of barley and other grains, even more so the hotter the pad gets. It does the job as a heating pad and helps relieve some of my shoulder pain, but I just wish it didnt smell as much and would hold heat for longer. It is on the heavier side so sitting with it on my shoulders for a while is tiring. As mentioned, it does get moist when you heat it up, but its easy to just wipe away and doesnt bother me. I do like that i dont have to worry about it popping or bursting like other heat pads that have gel or liquid inside.

I have an electric (corded) heating pad with temp control but I wanted something like this (microwave-heated) after I used one in a recent trip to QC. I really liked it as it not only provided a cushion to my lower back (due to back spasms) but also relieved the pain almost immediately. I've used it a few times and had a similar experience - which is good. I'd say it is something good to have at home.

To tell the truth my husband ordered this hot pad for me and after I read the reviews after he had ordered it I thought I would for sure not like it. Reviews said that it did not heat up nice and was filled with moisture. After receiving it I put it in the microwave about 8 times for 1 minute on each side kind of folded. Each time taking out after the 2 minutes and let lay on a towel and dry out and then continued for the 8 times doing the same thing with the hot pad. Now it will have just a tiny bit of moisture on it after 2 minutes (1 minute on each side) and it is pretty warm for about 15 minutes, so it does work pretty good on my back, shoulders or anywhere else I need to use it on my body. So with all that said it doesn’t work as good as my bean one at staying hot for a longer amount of time and not having moisture on my old one but it works pretty good for the price and the size is okay, not to small but could be bigger. I use it quite a bit for my painful body.

I bought this microwaveable heating pad to help with circulation issues, leg pain, and general aches and pains. If you’re on the fence or disappointed at first, this may still end up being perfect for you. When I first got it, I actually didn’t like it. It was extremely stiff. For the first several uses (about the first 10), it felt hard, not very bendable, and not at all malleable. I remember thinking, "How is this even usable?" Here’s the important part: it completely changed. After repeated heating and use, it finally “broke in.” The fabric softened a LOT, and the filling became flexible and moldable. Now it bends easily around my legs and body and feels comfortable instead of rigid. The difference between the beginning and now is night and day. Another unexpected bonus is the smell. It isn’t scented at all, but once it broke in, it developed this really pleasant, natural aroma from the filling — and the more I use it, the better it smells. It also retains heat very well, which is exactly what I need for pain relief and circulation support. If you buy this and your first reaction is, “Wow, this is way too stiff,” don’t give up immediately. Give it some time and some uses. I’m really glad I did, because now I love it and use it regularly.

We didn't think it got hot enough. We used the recommended times. The hotter it got, the worst the smell.

I have severe low back & hip pain and was using an electric heating pad but kept tripping over the wire and it was a nuisance plugging it in. I bought the UNCN Microwave Heating Pad and have been using it every day since. I am so happy with it I recommended it to friends, who are also thrilled. It is the perfect size and so easy to heat and retains the heat long enough to do the job. Love the soft fabric and color also. I don't know how I lived without it!

Perfect for applying heat to sore muscles It works perfectly on my husbands shoulder. Instructions are clear and concise with good warning parameters

I really like the quality if this bag, it really seems someone put thought into the design, it has a plush side and a velvety side and it also has a cotton case that comes with it, I am guessing it depends on the type of fabric feel you prefer, I like all of them. The instructions say to only warm up for 2 minutes, I felt that it was not enough heat after two minutes but I tried it on my shoulder and it still really helped with soreness but the heat was dry, when its advertised as a "wet" heat bag. The next time I heated it up for 2 minutes, waited a bit, turned it over and did another 2 minutes, and it had much more heat and I felt the "dampness" that was advertised as "wet" heat, I found it pleasant but I am not sure if everyone would like it. The bag does not have any smell, I know some come with lavender but I prefer no scent. I definitely think its worth buying, great product. LOVE IT!

It lasted less than a week. It burst on heating for 3 minutes. It might have caused safety hazard.
