ZAGG Invisible Shield HDX HD Clarity & Extreme Shatter Protection – Case-Friendly Film Screen Protector for Apple iPhone 8, iPhone 7, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6 – Nano Memory Technology – Military Grade

I swear by the Zagg Invisible Shield HDX line. I've used them exclusively on my iPhones for the last 10 years. I've never had a single cracked screen despite numerous drops. The material is the same thing that they coat helicopter blades with which means that it's tough and self-healing. I even buy these as gifts for friends and family members. It's worth every penny and is way better than the glass ones (which can crack) or the cheap plastic films that others make.

My phone fell yesterday and the shield was untouched, but my screen was shattered. When the Apple guy pulled off the Zagg shield, it was just a flimsy film and nothing protective. The description says "shatterproof" but that clearly wasn't the case. I think this product might be a scam.

I previously had the HD Clarity screen protector for my iPhone, but it was lost when I sent in my phone for battery replacement. I bought this HDX screen protector thinking it would be similar in that it's a film and not glass. I've been installing my own screen protectors from Zagg for many years and this one was strange. It installed without any large bubbles and I didn't really need the squeegee, but I did use it to make sure the film was fully adhered. However, the film is stiff enough that the cut edges at the top and bottom don't lay flat and cause a small air bubble right at the edge. The adhesive is so soft and fluid like, these bubbles cannot be eliminated and they still seem like they're wet after several weeks. Yes, I've tried holding pressure on these areas for several minutes with my thumbs and they do not go away.The other strange thing I noticed was that the micro bubbles never vanished, unlike with all previous screen protectors I've installed. Weeks after install and there are still very small bubbles littered across the screen, as seen in the photo. This film also seems to get hairline scratches very easily, even from just my thumb scrolling on the screen. I'm sure I'll be replacing this sooner rather than later through the Zagg warranty, but I'll be getting the HD Clarity rather than this HDX. If you don't like the HD Clarity film, go with a glass protector, not this HDX.

This product was scratched by the squeegee used to clear the air bubbles. Also, the shield would not completely adhere in one corner. I used the squeegee as directed to get the air bubbles out, then when trying to remove the remaining plastic film in the last step it removed the shield from the phone. When I got the shield separated from the plastic it revealed linear scratches from the squeegee across the majority of the shield. At first I thought it might be adhesive, but it wouldn't clean off with the cleaning wipe provided. I expected better from Zagg. They are honoring the warranty without question - which doesn't surprise me since you're paying for a boatload of these every time you buy one - and I upgraded to glass (for more $$$). Hope the glass one has better luck...we'll see.

Absolutely horrible. Everything about this. I have been a Zagg user for more than 4 years the new “upgrades” the company calls them are horrible. I LOVED the old model that had a reusable screen protector. You could wash it and reuse and clean it was amazing this is horrible. Not like it all don’t let them tell you it is just like it. It’s a sticky plastic strip no rubber or gel like the other one. New application was difficult after the last step now I have yellow streaks and bubbles all over my screen protector this is junk!! Don’t buy.

The product description states that the item is plastic and glass, so I assume HDX is something in-between and not a fake product. I had no trouble applying this product, I can't imagine it not going smoothly for somebody that takes a little time to rehearse the operation before diving into action. I did want to warn that I was extra focused on the cleanliness of the display area, which looks great, but I forgot about the white area that is covered and left a tiny spec of dirt on the white area near the home button because I failed to adequately clean there when doing the final cleaning with the sticky tape. Not a big deal except I know it is there. Also, I am fortunate to work with electronics so that I could use a clean bench we have at work, because you know, there is a lot of dirt floating around so one can avoid micro-bubbles if they avoid a dirty environment.

I can tell this product is great, but the one I got from Amazon Warehouse deals was really messed up. The tabs were completely misaligned to where it made this product impossible to install. I went right after to Walmart to buy the glass + instead, and this was perfectly easy to install. Great product, but the one I got was broken. I would only buy this product brand new, stray away from used ones or even Used - Like New.

The first screen protector shipped to me did not fit my phone, it was for an iPhone 7 Plus and I have the iPhone 7. After going through the return/replacement process, I finally received the correct screen protector. The edges of the screen protector do not adhere to the screen, so it looks like there is a bubble lining around the entire perimeter of the screen and the cut outs for the home button and ear speaker. I would not recommend purchasing this item. I'll be looking into an alternative brand screen protector that fully adheres to the screen.

Good and the warranty is handy

So much worse than the old Zagg screens. You could actually adjust them and fit them properly before with the fluid, now soon as you touch down you’re comitted to your placement.Not as pliable as the ‘original’ screens either so if you’re slightly on the screen curve that edge won’t be adhering properly.The Original is a much smoother installation, and honestly the phones have such tough screens already it’s hard to justify the impact protection.The colored guide is nice, but being able to slide it before setting was better. I thought I was buying the HD film like they used to have, but apparently they decided to change the naming convention.

I'm on my second one of these now, the first lasted 3 years, but was starting to catch dirt around the edges prompting me to replace it. Even after 3years, the view through it was still great. Definitely worth the money over multiple cheap screen protectors.

the screen protecter stuck to the sheet of plastic that was supposed to peel right off which resulted in applying it upside down having to peel it off my screen reapply it to the proper plastic then reapplying it to my phone. this caused air bubbles that I could not remove

great protection, but ti has that plastic feel.I now prefer the glass screen protectors.These have there place though! Definitely!
